The tone of Rocky’s trill doesn’t match what he’s telling him. The short, staccato burst of notes isn’t present in the way it is when he’s truly put off. There’s no bullet-hell of accusations like an irate songbird, rather, the intonation is longer and drawn out—warbling. If the Eridian had vocal cords in the traditional sense, Grace might think he sounded almost… breathy.
