He hears a gasp from behind him.
The brat is still alive, and he seems shocked. He looks downright furious, likely because Muichirou was his friend or something equally trivial as that.
He doesn’t have time for this. He really doesn’t.
So he leaves the faux-demon alive and gently picks his descendant up.
The next second, the Mist Pillar and Upper Moon One are gone.

Kanae couldn’t tell if the cold feeling was due to Upper moon two, or if it just happened to be the bodies response, but she didn’t like it. She had always hated the cold, hadn’t she? She hated the feeling of numbness in her toes, or the goose bumps that ran along her arms during long winter missions. However, she did enjoy the days spent in the cold when she could spend the day throwing snowballs and sledding with the girls.

Kanae’s eyes fluttered open, before closing quickly at the bright sky. But it had just been dawn? Hadn’t it? And she wouldn’t be recovering outside.
At the thought Kanae moved her hands to her stomach, searching for the wound, yet found none. She forced her eyes open, eyes wide to see herself dressed in an elegant kimono, one that most people wouldn’t be able to afford. While she certainly could afford fancier kimono’s, she hadn’t purchased one like this since…
She sat up. Where was she?---
