Summary
“Didn’t ruin your own life enough, you want to ruin someone else’s?” he asks, silky and slow. Bonnet cuts off in a stutter of surprise, mouth dropping open. Izzy leans in; surprisingly, Bonnet leans in to match, something bright, chaotic, hotly terrified in his wide eyes.
It’s annoying he’s not put off, but Izzy doesn’t let it deter him. Can have some real fun, instead. So Izzy reaches out to where Bonnet’s hands are flat on the bartop still and taps the one finger that’s missing a ring, marred with a pale stretch of skin. He smiles like a sickness and croons, “Can’t you fucking be normal? Go find some twink or bimbo to call you Daddy to soothe your midlife crisis, for fuck’s sake.”
Bonnet is breathing in short, choppy waves. There are two bright spots of color on his cheeks. He looks down at his hand and Izzy’s, then flickers his gaze back up.
