Summary
In more bad news for proponents of rational decision-making everywhere, Uchiha Obito has adopted Uzushiogakure's least functional fūinjutsu research project, dead set on pulling off the previously unthinkable: time travel.
He does, unfortunately, succeed.
Using the seven year old Kyūbi jinchūriki as a battery pack, Obito accidentally strands himself (and an unknown number of gate-crasher tagalongs) in that bygone era of proud shinobi clans still locked in their bitter, bloody feuding, tailed beasts yet unchained. Konoha doesn't exist now—and if Obito has something to say about it, then it never, ever will.
What he doesn't factor into his new and improved Infinite Tsukuyomi plans: the indomitable will of Uzumaki Naruto, a handful of overly nosy Anbu agents, and the draconian private agenda of a certain eye-stealing councilman.
As might be expected, everything goes to shit.
