Summary
Hawks was younger than the public knew. The HPSC liked it that way and Hawks needed to keep it that way or everything he has ever worked for will be ripped from him. Recently debuted and already in the top ten. Everything was going smoother than he ever expected. That is until he ran into the underground hero Eraserhead on night patrol.

Summary
Dabi could see the confusion, panic, fear, and tears swimming around his eyes, but Dabi remained still and calm as he let himself be stared at for however long Hawks needed. Dabi had never seen the hero show so much emotion; he’d seen the man angry, pissed beyond belief... he’d seen him joyous, excited, hyper, happy, but he’d never seen Hawks scared, terrified, like he was at that moment. He’d never seen the man cry or heard him make anything close to a bird chirp like he had just did moments before. Dabi had never seen Hawks so... broken.

Or, Hawks wakes up in Dabi's bed after having a panic attack and... proceeds to panic. Again.
Cuddles ensue.

“O-oh.” Hawks stuttered out, bringing his hands up to pat at his cheeks lightly. He didn’t think about how he would look coming into the meeting after flying as fast as he did. His cheeks, nose, neck, and collarbones were a bright red color from the wind, his hair was pushed back from his forehead, frizzing at the ends, and still slightly damp. From the wide collar of his sweatshirt, the villains could see peaks of a bruise dipping beneath the fabric. “Yeah, yes. I- um. Patrol was rough and time got away from me. I flew as fast as I could to get here on time. I- I'm really sorry.” He gulped when the villain stood and left the room without a word besides a soft humming noise in acknowledgement. Was he. Was he going to get something to hurt him with? Had he been too hopeful? Dabi was always unpredictable, and it made Hawks’ head spin.
