Shadow’s eyes flicked to Ozzy, who had climbed down the ridge and was now standing protectively in front of Tom, growling softly. Shadow didn’t respond immediately. Instead, his gaze shifted back to Tom, his expression unreadable.

Summary
The war between the Echidna's and Owl's for the Master Emerald was a long and brutal war, and the power of the Master Emerald had destroyed thousands of different races in the carnage, but there was one tribe that survived, but only barely. A tribe of once peaceful Lizard warrior's who were highly advanced and powerful, yet never chose to enact violence on others, but after almost they're whole tribe was wiped out, they vowed to destroy the Master Emerald and all those who abuse the power they're given to harm others.
These warrior's finally managed to track the Master Emerald to a remote planet known as Earth, and the tribes Queen and her soldiers all go out to find and bring it do their world, to destroy it for good. And Sonic and his new found family are enjoying they're time together in Green Hills, keeping the Master Emerald safe after they're battle with Robotnik.
But when this tribe invades the town to find it, they end up taking Tom Wachowski instead for ways to find out where it is, taking him to Sonic's home planet, Mobius. With Tom's life possibly at risk, Team Sonic sets out from Earth to find and rescue him, while Tom goes through a life changing journey that will change things forever.
