There it was. Ryland’s photo, most likely taken during some kind of school event – not even a fancy astronaut photoshoot, come on – was taking half of the screen, coming up after the other two astronauts. The other half of the screen was showing the fucking rocket meant to take them to space. Meant to take them on a suicide mission in order to save a dying Sun.
Holland was sure he stopped breathing. He must have, given that his legs couldn’t hold him any longer and he crashed hard into Jackson.
“What the hell?” Healy muttered under his breath. “March, that guy looks almost like–”
“Me. I know. Genetics is fucking strange, isn’t it?”
Or: Holland March used to be an uncle to three boys. It didn't really change anything.
