I glance over at Tairn, whose eyes are fixed solely on me. “Tairneanach.”
She nods, slowly, taking her time to write the name in the book carefully, before I step down from the dais. I give Violet a nod, before pausing at the base of the stares as she too is beckoned up.
“Violet Sorrengail,” the redhead smiles. “Nice to see you made it. For the records please tell me the name of the dragon of the dragon that chose you.”

Summary
Two years after her father’s death, Violet Sorrengail enters the Riders Quadrant with more knowledge than she should have, far less training than she needs, and a locked journal full of secrets she can barely begin to understand. Fresh off a breakup with the heir to Navarre, she isn’t looking for complications, but nothing prepares her for Xaden Riorson, or the dangerous ease they fall into with each other.
When her power manifests early and pulls her into Xaden’s dreams, Violet sees something she was never meant to: a wardstone, forbidden runes, and proof that her father’s work may be closer, and more dangerous, than she ever imagined.

Summary
Sgaeyl is one of the strongest dragons in the Empyrean, mated to one of the most feared dragons on the continent. But even she cannot control her rider, Xaden Riorson, when it comes to his enemy, Violet Sorrengail. As Xaden struggles to understand his feelings toward the daughter of the woman who executed his father, Sgaeyl watches events unfold through the bond she shares with the hardened wingleader. Desperate to protect both his life and the lives of the dragons she loves, Sgaeyl must decide whether Violet deserves Xaden's protection, or whether she should simply solve the problem for them all.
This is a retelling of Fourth Wing from Sgaeyl's POV, as she interprets Xaden's point of view through their bond. It contains countless FW/ IF spoilers.
All FW and IF storylines were created by the wonderful Rebecca Yarros, and this is simply my attempt to remain in the world she so adeptly imagined and described.

Summary
Now that he’s risen through the ranks to Wingleader, Xaden Riorson only has one goal for his last year at Basgiath: Get all the marked kids bonded and graduated so they can fight the real enemy lurking at the borders.
The only problem is that Violet Sorrengail, the general’s youngest daughter, has also joined the Rider’s Quadrant this year. He doesn’t know why she’s here, what her plans are, or if he can trust her. All he knows is that he can’t seem to stay away.This is Fourth Wing retold from Xaden’s POV. It follows the dialogue and timeline from Fourth Wing with my own interpretations and theories of Xaden’s actions and feelings. As it was written before the release of Iron Flame, all ideas and theories are just that – theories. Many elements are my own head cannons/speculation and are unconfirmed by Rebecca Yarros.
I would recommend reading Fourth Wing first as there are major plot spoilers throughout!
