While the Piglin-Hybrid decided to concentrate on his grades and getting the voices in his head under control, he watched Dream fighting his own wars in the worst way.

Dream heard the number land and noted, with the distant observational part of his mind that kept functioning regardless of what the rest of him was doing, that sixty days was a specific and deliberate choice. Enough time to pretend deliberation had occurred. Not enough time for anything to be meaningfully changed by it.
"The Emperor's heir," Dream said, and his voice was precisely, carefully, absolutely level. "Which one?"
Schlatt said: "The Crown Prince. Technoblade."

Techno doesn’t know what to think.

Summary
It’s almost embarrassing how Techno pieces everything together only as he opens the door and gets a large gulp of sulfur and iron. The smell of a warzone. But no, this smell is not organic, nor would it be appropriate for the inside of Techno’s unmarred cabin. No, this smell, one he’s only gotten the bare minimum of familiarity with, comes from a visitor.
Techno exhales—heavily—and tries not to growl through his words. Anything threatening will spell disaster.
Dream in a rut was not what Techno expected to come home to. A warning would've been nice.

Summary
He doesn’t whistle again. Whatever reason Steve has for not coming back, it’s enough to keep Technoblade from wanting to draw attention to himself.
A soft, nearly inaudible whine catches on the edge of his hearing, and he comes to a stop, head snapping around. A few seconds later it sounds again, and that’s definitely Steve. Technoblade turns, moving as silently as he can in that direction, trying to analyze the sound for any hint of pain, any reason why Steve hadn’t come back when called.
He hears it again, just a few feet away, and flicks on his flashlight when he sees a flash of white through the trees.
There's a lot of inexplicable things in the woods. Technoblade stumbles across one of the more dangerous ones and finds himself walking down paths no man should tread.
