Truthfully he'd always found it a strange concept. Being upset. What did it mean? What was it, specifically. Which shade out of the thousands that coloured the way “not good” felt warranted being called upset? Anger was easy to identify, and so was fear, and joy. Words people use all the time to describe what they feel like. Words that had easily been drilled into him when he had been young enough to say them without the risk of harming anyone else. He’d seen them, learned them, but they never quite matched what he felt was going on inside. Truthfully he didn’t know what that was, it was the way it lived inside of him, and he acted accordingly.
He wondered quietly, always quietly, if they just knew it. If they simply felt a feeling and went "Oh, this is obviously anger".I'm projecting all my issues with communication and being the friend everyone likes but nobody loves onto Inumaki. Why? Because therapy is expensive.

Saiki hates Christmas.
Everything is bright (visually impairing) and colourful (garish) and cheery (disgustingly so). If Saiki were to rank Christmas on the list of things he despises, it would be second to one.
