Tuesday (Morning).
Nobody's okay.
I don't know what to do. I slept on the couch tonight.
Hero didn't sleep all night. I could hear him sobbing through the door. He wouldn't tell me what was wrong and told me to just go to sleep.
The next morning mom told me that Mari's dead.
They say she took her own life.
Tuesday (Afternoon).
I couldn't stop thinking about it too. Why would Mari do that? Why didn't she leave a note or anything? And why before the performance?
I know I shouldn't be asking questions like these but it's been bothering me all morning. So I decided to look through the past pages of Headspace for clues.

”Mhm. Try it,” said Sunny shortly, her ears a glowing pink as her face turned away in the slightest movement. Her hands lifted the tray a little more upwards, and Aubrey reached then snatched a cookie.
Little chocolate chips were embedded in the baked dough, and Aubrey couldn’t get enough of it after the first bite. However, she kept her composure, feeling the crusty texture of the cookie against her finger tips as she munched on the small bite of cookie.
Shaking her pink hair out of her face, she squinted at Sunny. "Are you sure this is like, your first time baking? Mari didn't give you top-secret baking lessons, did she?"

Summary
It's not easy having no friends AND being queer while living in a religious town, so Basil and Aubrey have it rough when they start fake dating to cover for their own identities. However, things might change for both of their lives when some new people turn up at school.
For Sunny and Mari, moving to Faraway from the city is a pretty big change. But perhaps it's one for the better.
