Summary
After getting expelled for “creative differences” with a smoke machine, Rodrick Heffley is shipped to the suburbs to live with his artsy cousin Janis Ian and finish out his senior year at North Shore High. His band is on life support, his report card looks like a horror movie, and the only way he’s allowed to play Battle of the Bands is if he drags his grades out of the crypt.
Enter Regina George—former queen bee, and currently running a rebrand from “terrifying” to “tolerable.” She needs a public image refresh and a boyfriend who screams “I have layers.” While he needs tutoring, a parole officer for his homework, and someone who can bully him into passing senior year.
A deal is struck: fake dating for optics; makeover (for his report card) in exchange for another makeover (but this time for her soul… allegedly if she does have one that is).
UPDATE 11/01/25: i'm gonna crash out because of all these AI allegations against me! like what do i have to do to prove my innocence?! i already gave my explanation and evidence in chapter 14! what more do you people want from me?! 😭😭

After the worst spring semester of her life, Regina George is ready to close the book and enter senior year a new woman. Spine? Healed. Therapist? Acquired. Social life? Getting hit by a bus helped stitch it back together. Sure, things are different, but not worse. And, she has a plan: no gossip, no boys, no being a bitch to her new friends.
Only problem? Rodrick's never liked anything better than disrupting plans, and he happens to be the only person who wasn't there to witness junior year.

Summary
After the events of North Shore High, Regina George needs a brand new start. So, despite her three most formidable years at NSH, she decides to transfer during her senior year to a smaller school in a more rural area that just so happens to be her rivaling school: Crossland High.
Rodrick Heffley is one step closer to graduation, but here's the kicker: if he doesn't graduate with at least all C's, his parents plan to dismantle his band and make him start a real job (since college is off the table) instead of living out some rockstar fantasy. Rodrick knows his smarts lie elsewhere, so he has to come up with some sort of plan to save his GPA.
In order to survive Crosslands, Regina must lie her way to the top, a habit she meant to kill but couldn't help resurrect in this new social climate. When Rodrick Heffley, the racoon-faced loser, finds out about her secret, she has to withhold her end of the bargain to keep said secret: help him keep his band.
Along the way, she realizes there are more creative ways to lie, and that there are some people she doesn't have to lie to.

Martin finds them eventually, tapered white wax, twenty or thirty of them beside a box of ancient (but dry) matches, and a little brass dish with a slot that just about fits the base of the candle. He feels like Scrooge, fitting the whole thing together, tucking a few more into his pocket before striking a match -
Which immediately goes out.
“Oh, fuck you,” Martin says into the murk.
