Summary
When the blonde smiled wide, she took her face between her hands and gently pressed her lips onto hers. There was a moment of hesitance. Jane pulled away just enough to find the woman slowly opening her eyes to peer back at her.
A single moment passed as their eyes searched one another's. Then the woman smiled at Jane and nothing else mattered.
The boys surrounding them fell away, the bar fell away, it was only Jane and this stranger with the intoxicating perfume and the hazel eyes. The woman leaned in, eyes closing, she wanted to be kissed. Again. So Jane did.
Jane finishes up a tough case after her recent promotion to homicide. Needing to unwind but craving a change in scenery, she goes for a beer (or three) at a new bar. And meets a beautiful blonde woman with hazel eyes in an unconventional way.
