Summary
He had gone from toiling as an assistant to teaching first year classes and filling in for the more senior professors when the occasion arose. It was boring. Biology was not even his field of study. Not that he had an official field of study, unless memorizing Heimerdinger’s insane organizational system, a thing built over centuries, counted. His life was a monotony quickly slipping through his fingers. His leg and back were failing. He felt old before his time and there was the ever-ticking clock hanging over his head.
There had been a promise of something more, once. An explosion. A journal that was meant to be destroyed. A theory so insane it barely made sense until you looked closer and realized that the science was sound. However, it was not to be. A child had died.Instead of forgetting Viktor exists, Heimerdinger seeks him out when he, Ekko, and Powder hit a snag with their Hextech research. It doesn't take long to realize that they need a fifth great mind and Viktor goes to find Jayce while the timeline starts to shatter.

Tendrils of panic crept their way up Viktor’s stomach and clawed at his chest.
In the corner of his vision, his gaze caught on the outline of his legs sitting down. Except... the thighs beneath him were absolutely massive, straining against fabric that wasn’t his.
His gaze traced along the shape towards a broad chest, powerful arms that looked like they could readily uproot entire trees, and clothing adorned with the insignia of House Talis.Was he dreaming?
With mounting dread, he lifted his eyes to the other chair. His own pale face stared back at him in pure horror.
Something was wrong. Something was wrong.
Something was terribly wrong.“What have we done?” he managed to say, though the voice that spoke the words belonged to Jayce.

“I do not recall telling you my name.” Viktor stated matter-of-factly. “Yet you know it. Have we met?” Yes. Many times. Practically lived together inside their lab, but he couldn’t tell Viktor that. No, this Viktor had no idea who Jayce really was, and he intended on keeping it that way.
Jayce stumbled on his own thoughts trying to find an answer. Shit. Viktor is right, he wasn’t supposed to tell Jayce his name until later in his apartment. Damn it. “Uh—“ he stalled as he tried to think of a lie. “H-Heimerdinger had mentioned you once. You’re his assistant, right? Snarky Undercity kid with an accent? Not many other people here who fit that description.”

After the Hexcore collapsed, Jayce gets sent back to where it all started, the day he met Viktor, but Viktor seems to have no recollection of him. What happens when Jayce gets another chance, knowing what he knows now.
My take on Season 2 Jayce with Season 1 Viktor until Viktor eventually remembers everything and they live happily ever after because I refuse to give these two any more sad endings!
No idea how many chapters this will have, we're just gonna roll with it until the dopamine stops.
