Summary
Chapter 5 of Deltarune is largely believed to be the weakest chapter of the game in regards to its story, but even people critical of it are rather balanced in their opinions and still assume it to be at least decent enough. However, not only I believe Chapter 5 to suffer from irreconcilable issues and blatant contradictions, I would argue that it serves as a natural conclusion to the writing problem of Deltarune prominent yet clandestine since Chapter 2. Thus, Chapter 5 presents us with the perfect opportunity to look closer at the issues that were more obscure in previous chapters, revealed themselves in Chapter 5 and would certainly continue to undermine the story going forward.

Summary
The Roaring came, and the world as Ralsei knew it ceased to be.
However, he understood that it was never truly the end, not until the merciless architect of the Legend would be satisfied with his conclusion. Ralsei did not know whether he could impress or otherwise convince him, but he perfectly recognized just one thing: no matter how hopeless his predicaments would turn out to be, he could never surrender his friends and his loved ones. Even if he would be forced to endure a conversation with a person he would rather forget to achieve his goal.

While Ralsei never particularly appreciated the company of Flowery, he especially did not want to deal with him as he was musing over Kris' role in the things to come. But since Flowery decided to act seriously for a change, perhaps their conversation could make them understand each other just a little better than before.

“What did it promise you?” King paused, his entire body stilled by the question, mostly due to the confusion it caused.
“...What are you talking about?” he asked gruffly. He had no idea what Tenna was getting at, but something about the TV’s demeanor was starting to worry him. There was something unsettling about the severity to his new clown’s posture. His voice lacked the usual showmanship King was used to. There was a weariness to it now. An uncertainty that felt much weightier than Tenna’s usual nervousness.
