Yoongi tore his eyes away from the hero, heart thumping loudly in his chest. He ran his fingers through his dark locks as he turned around for a second then glanced back at the man. A hero. The young villain needed to remind himself of that constantly. Because while Jimin was a friend, an everlasting, undying, stubborn love, Aurora was an enemy. His enemy.
Jimin stared back at Yoongi, his face carefully expressionless among the sea of hardened faces glaring at Requiem. And as much as it hurt to see him, his lips curved into a soft, sincere smile that he hardly showed to anyone anymore. The worry had consumed him and kept him sleepless at night, a concern that shouldn’t exist for the young, pretty villain standing on the horizon.
Yet, he held his hand up and waved, his trembling fingers forming a word in sign language. A little something they discovered they had in common before. When they weren’t Aurora and Requiem, but Park Jimin and Min Yoongi. I Love You, it meant. And maybe one day, or in another life, Jimin will say it out loud to Yoongi.
