Summary
Calling Batman a criminal is a gross understatement of the kind of mythical monster he's built himself up as, to the point a single ordinary man is a league level threat. Even then the League doesn't know who he really is.
Calling Robin a criminal is a gross oversimplification of the complex feelings Wally has of friendship-rivalry-dread-relief-fear-joy whenever he encounters Robin on a mission.
And calling Wally and Robin's relationship difficult is a gross overestimation of how solid the lines or good and evil are, and how unwilling they are to mix their personal feelings of kinship with their very opposing professions.
No, Wally and Robin are the easy part, it's everyone and everything else that makes what should be an easy friendship much, much more complicated

“James, that might be the single dumbest thing I’ve ever heard come out of your mouth.” Albus stated drily. “and believe me, there’s a lot to compete with.”
They’d met in the Room of Requirement, James slipped him a note at dinner proclaiming they had something very important to discuss. Albus very much regretted telling Scorpius he would be fine to meet on his own.
“Come on Al! This is perfectly safe now, Dad and Aunt Hermione checked, the Time-Turner doesn’t write over our timeline, it’s some alternate dimension thing.” James attempted to convince him.
“I reiterate: That’s the single dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.”
“Al seriously, don’t you want to see what they were really like when they were our age? I left a note, just in case and I’m even taking you along as the resident time travel expert.”
“I’m not the resident time travel expert, Scorpius is, and his expert opinion has always been ‘just don’t time travel.’” Albus hissed, warily eyeing the golden pendant James was carelessly waving around.
Or
Albus does manage to convince James that time travel is a bad idea, so they factor that out of any adventure plans.
Unfortunately, no plan ever survives first contact.

JJ didn't think the others saw it. Hayden, maybe, but Jackie was the only WAGs's name Shane had committed to memory so Hayden never brought it up. JJ didn't have a wife or girlfriend. He had his hookups and the names of the best restaurants in each city they player in. If JJ had a dog, Shane would probably mix its name up with Drapeau's. The others didn't get that however pathetic or sad they might think Shane, Shane thought the same of them tenfold when they missed shots at practice or ate fast food on weekdays. Shane wasn't being prissy or funny when he said, don't embarass me—JJ still doesn't know exactly what it was, but he doesn't care to find out.
Shane had poured everything into his team (possessively: it was his team) and he asked them to give it back that day, so they delivered. When Shane smiled at them afterwards, it felt like love.

Summary
After ignoring his phone in favor of getting split in two by his situationship, Shane is stranded in Boston at the start of the zombie apocalypse.
Ilya is left with nowhere to go, and Shane refuses to leave him behind. In order to survive, they have to cross the Canadian border and get to the cottage, together.
But getting to Canada is far easier said than done. When Ilya is badly injured, their road-trip becomes a race against the dead—and the infection spreading through Ilya’s leg.

Heated Rivalry zombie apocalypse.
Set after the 2017 All Stars (After Rose) but before Scott Hunter’s kiss, Shane and Ilya miss the world literally ending because they were too deep in incredible situationship sex.After getting stranded in a very infected Boston because they were fucking through all the evacuation calls, Shane and Ilya take a road trip up to the Canadian boarder, because even zombies aren’t getting in the way of the cottage.
There’s nothing like almost dying multiple times (and a brief fake marriage) with your fuck-buddy to get you both to admit that maybe your decade-long situationship is not as casual as you’ve been pretending it was. Maybe.

A plane crash on the way to the Sochi Olympics. This is a pretty realistic and, honestly, stress inducing story. Shane takes control of the remaining group as the only guy with any idea of wilderness survival, Ilya working as second in command to keep moral up and make sure nothing falls apart. The only guy who has any medical training speaks purely Russian, so Ilya’s also translating all of that and both of them have to assist in some pretty gruesome medical procedures with limited supplies.
It’s not dark, but it’s certainly not lighthearted.

An incredible Tokoyami centred piece tackling the moral ambiguity of their world. It’s got everything, dubious mentor Dabi, complicated Tokoyami and Dark Shadow relations, Hawks infiltration mission, moral dilemmas, betrayal of every kind from all direction with good reason. It’s the whole sha-bang!
There’s also immense suffering and hard times, Tokoyami cannot catch a break ever.

It’s very gut wrenching at times, but it’s hopeful and healing.
