Summary
Regulus Black is a qualified neurology doctor and training to become a neurosurgeon at only 23. Having moved back to London to escape his parents after they moved to France when he was 15, Regulus is doing fine. He’s qualified, he’s already progressing his career, has a great set of friends, and is building a solid reputation as one of London’s best young doctors. He hasn’t spoken to Sirius since his older brother ran away over seven years ago and he doesn’t care, because he doesn’t speak to any of his family anymore and after all, Sirius was the one who left him behind.
And then James Potter walks in to the ward one day to give his mother some lunch, claiming that all hospital food is an abomination, and everything comfortable in Regulus’ life comes crashing down.

Summary
Regulus Black has always found James Potter rather fit. His personality is obnoxious though, so he made a deal with himself to kiss Potter before the boy graduates. The only issue is how to do so without ruining his own life.
James Potter has always thought Lily Evans is gorgeous, with her wavy red curls and sparkling green eyes. He's gotten detentions for hexing bullies that make fun of her weight several times. So at twelve years old he vowed to kiss her before he graduates, which is now only one year away. He has to do it, or he'll regret it for the rest of his life.
Lily Evans has always found Regulus Black charming. Ever since he discreetly hexed Mulciber for calling her a Mudblood during Slug Club in her second year, she's been trying to figure him out. Yes, he's the Slytherin Prince. But in their Secret Study groups, when it's just her and Remus, he's kind, funny, and quite clever. Lily Evans has fallen in love with Regulus Black, and it's ruining her life.
Things change when Hogwarts hosts an end-of-year dance, forcing Lily to find someone to take her in order to avoid a big embarrassing ask from Potter. Lucky for her, Regulus needs a date too, and they might just work something out together.

"Regulus Black is never going to catch a break.
He wants to bury his face in his hands and groan into them. The only reason he restrains himself from doing so is that the other figure skaters have started glancing over at him—probably wondering why the hell he’s talking to a hockey player. Regulus would very much like to know too.
Oblivious to everything else, James raises an eyebrow towards Regulus. 'I guess we’ll be seeing each other around, then?'
Seriously, how has James still not gotten the goddamn hint."

When Sirius moves out, Regulus Black thinks that maybe James Potter will finally be out of his life too.
Good. Competition season is coming up, and it'll be his first year at the junior level. As the upcoming skating star of the Black family, Regulus can't afford to lose–and the absolute last thing he needs is a hockey player to mess everything up for him. All he needs is for James to stay out of his way, and he'll be good as gold.
James doesn't stay out of his way. And Regulus has a long way to go before he can even think about bearing a medal around his neck.

"He really doesn't like me that much." Sirius sighed as he closed down the message app only to open it up again. It didn't have the effect he wanted as he found no new messages. "See? It's been a whole five minutes and nothing."
"Right." James smacked his lips before he gave a look to Regulus across the table that Sirius decided to ignore. "And you're not obsessed either?"
"What?" Sirius looked up, his eyebrows furrowing. "I am no such thing."
His phone dinged that second. Sirius's heart skipped as he stared down at his phone.
"Clearly." Evan snorted. Sirius caught the way he elbowed James in the corner of his eye, but he couldn't care less, he had a new message from Remus.
OR
After the figure skating finals, life fell back into some sort of normal except that Sirius had gotten the number of silver medalist Remus Lupin. Meanwhile, Evan finds himself forced into situations he'd rather avoid from his new friendship. All while Remus and Barty navigate their own shifting realities. Feelings get trapped in the mess as ice season is over, the question is, will the ice still feel the same when winter finally comes around again?
