    Your left eye turns the same color as your soulmate's right eye when you meet them, but the pupil is different from the normal black, (in most cases, at least) and instead had a color to show how they feel towards you. Pink for love, grey for strangers, a suffocating black for hate.
    If they were confused or felt a lot, the colors might form an ombre.

    Ranpo's eyes were startling when they were open, the green of the right one caught light so easily, so gleaming and bright, that you could mistake them for real emeralds.

    His left was a grey that almost seemed suffocating, but still was warm, the pupil a purple to black ombre, screaming of obsession and hatred.
