Strange things are going on in Gotham: A series of crimes linked only by a sentence uttered. A drug that no one seems to be selling, but lots of people are taking. An old enemy reborn, or someone pretending to be him. Graffiti that can't be photographed by normal means. Bartenders disappearing without a trace. John Constantine is also there.
Danny wants nothing to do with any of it. He just wants to sell burgers and survive. Actually, he'd like to go home again, but since that isn't possible, he'll stick with burgers.
Gotham's vigilante's have other plans.
This is why Danny doesn't do favors.

The man inclines his head gratefully when John drops a few coins in his bucket - whatever was left over from the cup of rubbish coffee he bought this morning. It's not much, but from what he's seen of the miners' strike on the news they need anything they can get.
"It's been quite overwhelming. I didn't realise how hard it would be to make friends here."
"I can imagine. My bloke always says people are friendlier the further North you go, and that Londoners are the worst of all," he just says it like that with his soft voice, casual as you like, my bloke, and John's heart nearly seizes. There really are people like him here - it had always been said as a warning back home, but he's so very, very glad to find that it's true. Something must show on his face, because the man's expression softens a little. "Are you family?"
Is he… oh.
It's 1984, and John Irving finds his family.

Courfeyrac sat up straight. Grantaire did not like the gleam in his eye as he slowly raised his finger in the air like an idea worthy of Einstein had just come to him.
“Are you quite sure of that sir?” Courfeyrac asked in a mock posh accent.
“Indeed I am, my good fellow,” Grantaire replied in the same way.
“Then monsieur, I challenge you to a little wager. I bet you that I can make Enjolras kiss you before you can make Combeferre kiss me.”
“What? Courfeyrac that is ridic-”
“Fifty euros says I can do it before you can. Just think, if you win you have fifty euros. If you lose Enjolras has just kissed you. It’s win-win situation.”

Summary
Yagi Toshinori watched the green haired boy walk away after saving his friend and shook his head. While the boy's actions were heroic, he was just too reckless. He walked in the opposite direction, thinking about a time he could meet the candidate Sir Nighteye put forward.
Izuku Midoriya goes home and decides that, even if he can't be hero himself, he can still help them with his analysis. Cue Izuku catching the attention of multiple heroes who are a little more open-minded and willing to see the potential in a quirkless kid.

There are things that always happen, no matter how hard he tries: El doesn’t arrive in time. Eddie dies. Max is put in a coma.
Steve fails. They lose.
“Steve, how many loops have you been through?”
His head is nodding, and his eyes are watery, and Eddie has approached him like a spooked animal.
“I lost count.”
