The extraction succeeds, but what appears are not Harry's memories — they belong to an alternate, older version of him operating in a divergent timeline. They cannot be stopped or removed.
Harry watches alongside the school, the Ministry, and his professors as a version of himself who is more competent, more compromised, and ultimately more alone plays out a war Harry hasn't yet fought.

Or so she thinks in the beginning.
Soon, she will find that the rumors about Tom Riddle's charisma were far from baseless, and that, in a world so far from her own, she will have to quickly decide who can be trusted, and who cannot.

What had been a ritual to land him a few decades instead became several decades, in which he would find himself in 1926. What was worse was that he would have to continue in the new timeline as a woman. With a war somewhat fresh on his shoulders, Harry would have to restart as an entirely new person who would raise his nemesis instead of end him. In the end, he would have to alter his plans to give others a better future whilst achieving a peaceful new life.
But as a woman in a new time, it seemed her new son's sire would become a complication in her life . . . or perhaps someone who would help her and her son settle.
