oh my GODD this isn't just smut it's so cute and soft.. andd they stay girlfriends too!!! and rits doesn't end up being used by gendo the same way <3 and they both get to take care of shinji!! this is great i love it.
it is a little sad that maya still yearns for ritsuko but, you can't have your cake and eat it too (well you could but poly relationships are complicated and often unstable, believe me i know)
it's also a little sad that we don't know if pen-pen is with misato, given she adopted him partially to ease her loneliness, she might not have reason to in this timeline.
