Summary
Walter Harriman has been at the SGC for a long time. He knows all the things---everything from mess menu schedules to which bathroom is usually empty. But what he knows best about the SGC is its people. Their strengths---their weaknesses. Their quirks, and their struggles. The eight long years they've spent desperately pining for each other while denying themselves true happiness because they've got a galaxy and humanity to save. . .
So yeah. He's got this place down. It only gets tricky when a new guy comes along who tends to notice stuff that everyone else has agreed to just ignore.

Jack's been poking and prodding things and it lands them in jail. Again. Why can't the man keep his hands to himself? And why does Sam kinda wish he wouldn't learn? Absolutely plotless, silly, funny, mildly romantic fluff. What can I say? I have no control over where the Muse takes me sometimes. Inspired by the #TuesdayMuseday photo prompt from April 29, 2025. How do you make things right? Especially when you're the one who caused all the pain in the first place--
Colonel O'Neill is back at the SGC after a lengthy recuperation period--and this is his first mission back with the team. Sam's doing her best to act as if everything is normal. As if his absence wasn't her fault. As if he hadn't been captured, tortured, killed, and then revived time and time again because of her. Desperate to make things right, she's unsure how to accomplish that feat. Even worse, she's completely unsure where they stand--or whether he can even forgive her.
Episode tag to "Frozen" and "Abyss". Written in honor of "Sam/Jack Ship Day 2024" using the prompt "Dancing in the Rain".
