Summary
Shortly after making contact with Starfleet via the Pathfinder Project, the USS Voyager visits the Noetar Station in the hopes of performing some long overdue maintenance and trading with the resident species. Most of the crew are riding a wave of optimism following recent events, and Captain Kathryn Janeway is determined to sustain that hope—even when she's struggling to keep her own worries at bay. An upcoming birthday isn't helping, as it's yet another reminder of how much longer it will take to get home.
Although first contact goes smoothly, the ship soon loses contact with its away team just as the crew fall ill with a mysterious malady that leaves them slightly altered—and continuing to change. The captain and her senior staff suspect the Noetar may be behind what's happening, but it's a race against the clock to stop them. For as Janeway has long suspected, time is not always on their side.

The year is 2390, after thwarting planetary destruction of the Romulan homeworld, tensions are rising between the Federation and the Romulan Star Empire in the wake of a growing Romulan civil war. Federation World Leaders are beginning to question if Starfleet can equally protect Federation Space as well at it can explore the galaxy as the Romulan civil war begins to spill into Federation space with opportunistic Klingons beginning to force themselves into the conflict.
Starfleet assigns the newly promoted Captain Janus Sym to the Prometheus Class Starship, USS Achilles, and tasks the young captain to maintain the peace between Federation border worlds, assist in protecting secret Starfleet relief efforts to the growing Romulan Republic, and defending against the ever growing bold Klingon Empire.
But a deep space tactical assignment along the Federation, Romulan, and Klingon borders are the least of Janus' concerns as he copes with a newly implanted Trill Symbiote after the transport of a deep space discovery goes awry.

In that distraction, he failed to account for the repercussions that might have befell his friends when the Borg went searching, despite caring deeply for them. With this neglect, instead of taking the self-sacrificial approach, Hugh contrives to stay aboard the Enterprise to learn about his human heritage and spend more time with his friends, Geordi and Dr. Crusher. Little did he realize how difficult the assimilation into individual existence would be.
Or otherwise summarized as an AU where Hugh decides to stay aboard the Enterprise, following his development into a fully realized person.

Complete B.S. It says it's about all the shows but seems to only be about SNW.
Literally the only mention of Voyager is the tag that led me to this bait-and-switch. None of the Voyager characters are mentioned. I didn't check for the other series, but I bet this has nothing to do with them, either.
The author's site lists other series but not Voyager, so what the heck? And no comments allowed? It's obvious why -- the misleading tagging.
If the use of the tag was meant to convey that this applies to all ST, the appropriate fandom tag would be Star Trek.
A dirty trick to get clicks. This author should be banned.

Meanwhile, Phoebe Janeway attempts to undermine her father's regime from within and Will Riker must battle his demons to combat the potentially more serious threat of the Dominion in the Gamma Quadrant.

This is the final multi-chapter instalment of this series. It’s a heavily canon-divergent, plot-driven story with plenty of Janeway/Riker romance. Also featuring: ‘In the Pale Moonlight’ Janeway-style, Romulan trickery and triple-bluffing, and a Janeway family showdown. The angst is less heavy than the previous entry, but we’re still in the middle of the Dominion War, so nobody is having an easy time.
