Supervisory Special Agent Ilya Rozanov is a member of the BAU and one of the head profilers. He also has a reputation for being unruly, impulsive, and a bit of a dog. He's getting a new teammate, Supervisory Special Agent Shane Hollander, a child prodigy from Vegas who graduated high school at 12 and carries several degrees, and everyone is raving about what a great addition he's going to be to the team.
Ilya doesn't think it's necessary. He has all the brain, brawn, and power the team needs, and he won't make the new guy's life easy. Shane Hollander is out to prove to the world he is more than just a prodigy. Can these two new teammates get along? How will their dynamic affect the lives of their coworkers, such as the No-Nonsense Unit Chief, Scott Hunter, or the plucky tech analyst, Kip Grady?

“There’s no cure for the bite and we both know it,” the other man reasoned desperately. “Please— I— Just don’t let me become one of those things. I don’t— I can’t be the reason anyone dies. Please—”
“You’re not turning today,” Jungkook growled, flipping open his switchblade before turning to look at the man’s tear-streaked face. “What’s your name?”
“Ji— Jimin.”
Jungkook shot him a bittersweet smile. “I’m Jungkook,” he replied. “Please don't make me regret this.”
