One such new experience is going to a Hollywood visual effects class where he volunteers to get made up to look severely injured or even dead. Pictures are taken and somehow a few get accidentally sent to the team. By the time Buck gets home everyone is all there frantic to see him and make sure he’s ok. Eddie is furious and of course he lashes out but Buck isn’t going to stand for it this time

“Deceit, this isn’t up for debate, Thomas made his decision.” Virgil explained, accompanied by an eyeroll, but it lacked a lot of the vitriol that his addressing Janus usually had.
“And of course we want him to stay, but he should go.” Patton added, but Janus was immediately shaking his head. In fact, a lot of Janus was shaking. His hands that now hovered in front of him, as if he didn’t know what to do with them, had visible tremors, and his lip wobbled, which Logan understood as a sign of someone about to cry.
“No, he should stay, damnit!” Janus yelled, eyes squeezing shut.

Ilya closes his eyes, humiliation twisting his gut. Still, though, it’s nice to hear his voice. His shoulders sag a little. “Hollander?”
“I don’t–” Shane sighs, long and heavy. “Why are you calling?”
Why is he calling? Ilya couldn’t answer. Not in any way that makes sense, anyway.
Voice wobbling, Ilya says, “I am sorry.” He inhales, breath hitching horribly. “Was mistake.”
On the other line, Shane goes quiet. Then, shuffling around, he says, “What’s going on, Rozanov?”
Or: Ilya calls Shane in the middle of the night, and against his better judgment, Shane comes to find him.

Rocky starts to relax for a split second, but then tightens when something occurs to him.
“Grace crewmates dead when you wake up. You said this, statement. You not even know your own name, remember nothing, see dead bodies, confirm?”
I nod, because if I open my mouth I will gag.
“When last time Grace touch ALIVE human person, question.”
I swallow thickly. I don’t answer aloud because I know Rocky can hear the hitch in my breath. My stomach churns with fresh bile. He senses my vital signs tick over into stress patterns and goes very, very still again.
“Grace. When last time, question.”
I clench my jaw so hard my temples ache, and beg him with my eyes to just stop.
“Grace. Please say not when… when Evil Stratt humans put you to sleep.”
I can taste grass.

Summary
Juhoon told himself to look away, he had the own ledgers of his life to manage. That's how it had always been. Strangers will remain strangers. He had rules, a pay check to maintain. He reminded himself to keep his fingers steady on the boxes of medicine, scanning like breaking the rhythm would sever something internal in him too.
But he couldn't help the awful human habits he had. When he finished scanning, he watched the beautiful stranger pack things into a white, plastic bag, completely and utterly mesmerised. The honest look of the man’s grazed knuckles against the counter for some reason was oddly captivating. It spoke volumes.

Shane stands by his side of the bed, watching Ilya like he’s never seen him before. In all of their years together, he’s never once seen Ilya sleep in a long-sleeved shirt aside from that night their heating unit broke, and they’d had to bundle up until it could be fixed in the morning. But that was three years ago, and it’s the beginning of spring right now. And Ilya runs warm.
“What?” Ilya asks, finally realizing that Shane isn’t getting into bed.
“Why are you wearing that?”
