The 118 in different fonts
Because I needed a collection for my latest obsession.
Whether it’s handing out roses on the Bachelor, flashing some fangs in Forks, or longing to escape a tower, these are all 9-1-1 fics that see our beloved characters (but mostly Buddie) set in a different property/universe.
More than just your typical AU, all works are fused with or inspired by another movie/show/book/etc

Summary
The 118 finally learn why Buck is the way he is. Their theory of a cult or a conversion camp was way off. Somehow, though, the reality of being a demi-god isn’t much better.
Buck thought they’d be happier to learn he wasn’t part of a cult.
****
(i.e. The 118 all struggle with the revelation in different ways. Bobby crashes out learning the Gods exist, Athena’s still wanting justice for Buck’s dead childhood and if Eddie was worried about Anna being a nun, he has no idea how to cope with the literal son of a deity.)

Part of a series Hearth and Home, Buck is a demi-god, blessed by Hestia.

Summary
Little Evan "Buck" Buckley dreamed of where he was now. He has a supportive family around him, his sister is by his side, and he spends every day working with dinosaurs. How much better could it get?
Eddie Diaz (single dad, Silver Star recipient, former army medic) was just trying to find a job that would keep him from getting bored, be relatively safe, and set his son up for life. How dangerous could working at a luxury resort be, even if that resort was full of deadly predators?
There's no better way to bond than fighting for your lives in the island jungle, and Buck and Eddie are about to be put to the ultimate test. It's up to them and the rest of the 118 to put a stop to the prehistoric attack, and who knows what'll happen along the way.

After he's satisfied with the videos on his phone he looks at Eddie, "So, besides you being bad at tiktok and having the cutest kid on the planet—who is absolutely welcome in the studio any time, by the way—is there anything else I should know before we become dance partners?"
Maybe it's the cocky grin on Buck's face or the way Eddie can feel the start of something in his gut when he looks at Buck, but either way he says, "I don't do showmances. We're going to win this season, but I'm not getting votes by making doe eyes at you and leaking rumors to the press."
"What if they're not rumors?" Buck waggles his eyebrows.

Summary
And all of that was why, on their seventeenth day on Mars, Buck had shoved Eddie out of the way during the emergency evacuation, knowing it meant his own death instead of Eddie’s. Buck trusted Eddie to help get everyone else home, and Eddie had someone to go home for. Someone who needed him and loved him. Someone who Buck loved, even without ever meeting. He wasn’t going to let Chris grow up without a father. So in the split second he had to think after seeing the communications dish flying at them through the storm that was chasing them off the planet fourteen days early, he’d pushed Eddie out of the way, hoping like hell it would be enough and knowing he wouldn’t live long enough to find out.
--
Or, when their mission to Mars goes wrong, Buck gets stranded and the rest of the crew does everything they can to save him. | Fic is complete at ~120k words and posting 2-3x a week as I edit.

“If I could get everyone’s attention up the front, please?” The professor sighs. “I know I’m not as interesting as our new student, but I am the one with the answers to your exam.”
More eyes turn to him. Buck is about to beg the universe for a sinkhole or a lightning strike or something.
“Professor?” Someone asks, breaking the awkward tension. Buck swivels and finds the cutest boy he’s ever seen.
Or, Evan Buckley would love to be a normal, regular college kid. Unfortunately, he’s the President's son. A 'First Daughter' AU.
