Chapter Text
Alright nerds! I know what you're thinking!
‘oh Deadpool, you totally fucked THE wolverine in that odyssey!’ yes I did. Best day of my goddamn life, let me tell ya!
Now, I know I knooow. How could I do that to your favorite OTP, spideypool! well, I'll tell you a little secret, just between you and me okay? Super hush hush, don't tell anyone. Or do, I'm not your daddy. Anyway, my favorite Petey pie and I? We're engaged! So don't you worry, Spidey's not goin’ anywhere! And Wolverine was on my list, so my baby boy can't be mad at me! Win-win!
Oh, the list, you ask? Well, loves. You know how sometimes people who love each other very much and who aren't insecure prudes will jokingly make a list of 5 usually unobtainable people they could sleep with if the chance ever came? Well! Wolvie dearest was on mine! So it's all good!
Also! Since I'm Wade Winston Wilson, aka Deadpool, aka marvel Jesus, I get to break the 4th wall allllll I want! Which means, before we get started, daddy needs to clarify some things that the author didn't know how to put in an author's note. (love ya Dee, but you're a cuck)
English is not the author's first language, and he's tryin’, but some shit may come out a little fucky here and there. And like no offense, but the English language is a nightmare anyway, sooo… Who cares?
Kay. so. our Spidey? Andrew looks, a bit shorter maybe, has all the Andrew trauma. dead Gwen, Dr. lizard face, you know the drill. But also, he got the Tom trauma. Mysterio, Thanos, all that jazz. Most importantly, Dr Strange's wizard shit. The spell didn't work on me, because hello, I'm Deadpool. I am marvel Jesus.
I see right past that sweet 4th wall. But it worked on everyone else, unfortunately.
Poor Petey is very lonely, but he's kept the friends he had as Spidey, those who didn't know who he was under the mask to begin with, like double Dee and flame head.
Spidey-poo also has some more spidery habits, instincts and needs as well, plus some miiiild body fuckery. Fangs, venom, no sweating, stuff like that. You'll see.
Petey pie is also trans. Do not disrespect my baby boy's pronouns because I will break through the screen and fucking strangle you.
As for wolvie? Mostly movie Wolvie, but we're making him short. Comic accurate short king is best Wolvie after all. And he's feral. Because apparently my type is half feral half animal men. :)
And lastly, as for me? Moooostly movie Pool. No thought boxes for this fic, unfortunately. I will still have voices in my head, and hallucinations, and general Pool mental not-health. But the thought boxes will not be typed out, sorry fellas. <3
Anyway, let's get into it, yes? I'll be yapping enough as it is during the story, after all. Hope you enjoy!
[❤️💙💛]
The party was in full swing, the dinner table completely covered in food from multiple different fast food places, and everyone was chatting away happily at Wade's second attempt at a birthday party the day after he'd gotten back home from saving the entire universe. Multiverse? Timelines? Meh, who cares.
Wade was happily chatting to Colossus next to him about the great british bake off, of course, while Laura was sneaking pieces of chicken to one of the many cats Wade apparently had.
A sweet little calico named Daisy.
Logan had a pit bull's head on his lap, another dog that Wade had apparently, and he was gently giving the little big guy ear scratches, avoiding its face scars.
Wade had told him the pittie was a rescue named Cody, from a dog fighting ring and had not elaborated in the slightest.
Because of course he hadn't.
Wade sighed loudly out of nowhere, in the middle of Colossus' sentence.
“Man! It's a shame Peter couldn't make it to the party!” Wade whined, pouting a bit, with some muttered agreements from dopinder who was sitting across from Wade. Next to Wade's friend and former co-worker, Peter. Logan frowned in confusion and pointed at Peter, raising an eyebrow at Wade as if to ask what the fuck he was on about.
Wade chuckled. “not that Peter, honeybadger. My Peter. My precious little Petey pie.” Wade explained with a fond smile, clearly thinking about this other mystery Peter. Dopinder nodded sagely.
“Yes. He is very nice! It is a shame he could not make it. Is he at work?” Wade's favorite Indian man asked with a bright smile, to which Wade sighed and shook his head.
“Nah, MIT went on a week-long tour of several big-wig company’s R&D departments to get a good idea on internships for next semester, or something. I wasn't actually paying attention. He should be back soon though, and then I can finally get my birthday fuck. After my baby boy has slept, of course. He's probably completely exhausted.” Wade sighed dreamily, fluttering his non-existent eyelashes with a dopey grin.
This made Logan's frown deepen, and he looked at Wade with a glare. “bub, who exactly is this other Peter?” he asked, in that clearly agitated rough tone of his.
Wade grinned, holding up his left hand, which actually had a simple little silver band with three stones. The middle one red, with each side of it having one smaller blue gemstone. Of course Logan and the rest of Wade's friends didn't know this, but it was custom made to represent Peter's spidey suit. Peter had a matching one with black stones instead of blue, to match Wade's suit.
“my fiancé!”
“you have… a fiancé?” Logan asked, voice going more rough, harsher the more agitated he got.
Wade nodded, completely oblivious to Logan's growing anger. “yes! I can't believe I didn't mention him! He's so sweet and kind and he's got the best ass in the world! And he's so smart, peanut! He's so special! He goes to MIT and he's so good with science and tech, you should see some of the stuff he's made! Some of my toys come straight off Petey pie's workbench.” Wade began, going on a whole rant, gushing about how perfect and cute this fiancé was.
Logan listened for all of 4 more seconds before he got up from the table with a growl, pissed. It gained him a few looks from the other guests who were confused at his sudden annoyance, but shrugged and went back to their conversations.
Logan walked off, simply stalking his way to the window and through it to climb onto the fire escape so he could smoke, not quite wanting to ruin Wade's party by causing more of a scene. He climbed about 2 floors down so he wouldn't be immediately visible from the window as he hid away, thoughts racing. He'd fucked someone's fiancé. He knew he shouldn't have said yes in that stupid car, should have just sliced Wade's dick clean off and kicked him out on his ass. Why did he always fuck up everything around him?
Logan only got interrupted in his brooding about an hour later, when Laura climbed down to give him a quick hug, wishing him a good night, since her, the girls and colossus were leaving. He wished her a good night back and told her he'd see her again soon for that shopping trip they'd agreed on earlier, so both of them could get some clothes with the TVA money.
Once he was left alone again, Logan just chewed on his cigar, staring up at the sky, watching the moon slowly rise over the buildings while the stars shone high above. It was getting late… And yet he did not go back inside until he heard the last guest leave for the night. It was Althea, leaving to go back to her own apartment a few floors down. It was just past midnight at this point, and Logan honestly just wanted to go the fuck to bed already, tired of everyone's shit.
Slowly, Logan gathered himself back together and climbed back inside to find Wade, who was putting whatever food was left over into the fridge, whistling ‘happy birthday’ as he did. He looked up when he heard Logan approach though and he smiled wide.
“hiya peanut! Do you mind helping me with these dishes? It's okay if you don't wanna, I don't wanna either. We can leave em." Wade spoke as he stacked several half eaten pizzas on the counter next to the fridge, the boxes too large to fit in it.
Logan took a deep breath through his nose, then let it out in a growly sigh, before glaring at Wade.
“bub, what the actual hell is wrong with you?” he growled, taking a step closer with clenched fists.
Wade just looked over at Logan, visibly confused. “huh? It's just dishes, they can wait a day or two. I need a nap and a bath before I'm going anywhere near wet food bits, no thank you Satan.” the taller man said with a shrug.
Logan growled deeper and shook his head, glaring harder at the other man.
“Not that, you dumbfuck. You have a fucking fiancé, and you decided the fuckin’ car fuck was a good idea? Fuck's wrong with you.” he spelled out, trying real hard not to let his claws fly free and into Wade's lungs, where he really wanted to put them on this ‘Peter's’ behalf.
“ooooooh that! It's fine! You're on my list. Pete won't mind! It's all cool.” Wade shrugged, grinning proudly.
“In fact, he might be proud, if anything. It's not every day someone manages to bag and bed a dead man so far out of my league I had to hop universes to find him.” Wade then said, tapping his chin, pretending to think.
“fuckin’... what?” Logan said dumbly, staring at Wade with the most unimpressed look to have ever graced this planet.
“what fuckin’ list are you on about. Are you fucked in the head? Don't answer that.”
The younger man chuckled, striking a pose. “Matter of fact, I am! Thanks for noticing~" he purred, wagging his eyebrows.
“But also, what happened to ‘what happens in the odyssey stays in the odyssey’ hm? I thought we weren't going to talk about it?”
Logan growled louder, stepping up to wade and yanking him down a bit by the collar of his dumb fucking hello kitty shirt.
“You cheated. On your fiancé. With me. Without fuckin’ tellin’ me. Fuck you, Wilson. You are the worst human being I have ever laid eyes on.” he growled coldly, tips of his claws poking out and into Wade's collarbone.
Wade chuckled nervously. “hey, hey. Easy, peanut. Wouldn't wanna make a mess now would we?” Wade tried. And then he got three adamantium claws right through his neck and shoulder for that, making him yelp in pain. He was then slammed into the wall dividing the kitchen and the living room, claws embedded through him into said wall behind him, pinning wade firmly in place.
“You dirty bitch! Petey liked this wallpaper!” Wade cried, trying to struggle against the older man's grip, but for once he didn't have any weapons on him and he was still exhausted from their three day voyage, and he didn't think he'd need weapons at his birthday party 2, electric boogaloo.
Logan snarled in Wade's face and punched him in the stomach with his other hand, claws extended so it was a punch and a stab at once. Wade let out a loud whine at the pain, head falling back against the wall. “fuck-peanut! Careful with the merchandise! Do you know how hard it is to find hello kitty shirts in my size?!” Wade whined, moving to look down at his now completely ruined shirt.
Logan was about to start yelling at Wade, but he was cut off by the front door opening and someone stepping into view, carefully taking off their shoes and placing them next to the door.
“Honey, I'm home!” a light, young but tired voice rang through the apartment, clearly playful and bright. “Now, please explain what that string of emojis you texted me meant, because I can't figure them...out…” Peter trailed off, as he finally took notice of his boyfriend impaled to the wall by a very familiar looking stranger.
“uhm…should I come back in like an hour?” Peter asked, unsure, clearly having no clue what the fuck he just walked in on. He looked dead tired and a bit scruffy, probably from a long bus ride home from his trip. Meanwhile Wade started squirming and wiggling excitedly.
“baby boy! You never guess what I got for my birthday! The universe gave me my very own Wolverine!” he said excitedly, trying to wiggle free. Logan finally retracted his claws and took a step back, just looking Peter over with a confused frown.
The kid looked so… Normal. Just your average exhausted college student, wearing an oversized pea-coat, a beanie with a smiley face on it pulled over fluffy brown hair, some ripped jeans that were clearly ripped from a fall, and not bought that way, and some beat up sneakers. A t-shirt with a science pun and socks with hotdogs on them. Literally just a normal person. Logan was so confused.
And sure, the kid's scent was way off, and his body sounded a bit weird to Logan's enhanced senses, but other than that he seemed utterly and completely normal, just some civilian kid.
Peter stared at Logan for a long time, squinting a bit in confusion. “Aren't you dead?” Peter then asked, tilting his head a bit. He then shook off his confusion with a sigh. “Whatever, I'm too tired for this right now. Where's my dog?”
“bedroom. He was trying to beg for food during dinner” Wade replied with a smile, walking over to Peter to kiss him, which Peter happily accepted. “right. Leftovers? I'm starving.”
Wade nodded. “yes, but no tacos, and it's taco Friday, so I'll go get you some okay baby boy? Your favorite ones from that place.” Wade offered with a happy grin, and Peter sighed happily.
“God, yes please. I missed you.” he murmured, leaning up for one more quick peck before going to the bedroom door and opening it to greet his dog, who of course went apeshit at seeing his human again. Cody was wagging his tail violently and tripping all over Peter and his own paws to try and lick as much of Peter's face as possible. Peter was quietly laughing at the pup, squishing his face gently and giving him scratches in all the good places.
“Hello, baby. I missed you too. Were you a good boy while I was gone? Of course you were, you're always a good boy. Yes you are. My best boy” Peter coo'd at the still hyper pittie in front of him.
Logan just stood there, utterly bewildered at the scene in front of him. Wade being sweet and normal for once, and the random normal kid being utterly unfazed at the fact his man had just been impaled and was covered in blood.
Instead of stressing out over Wade bleeding, the kid was just sitting on the floor, baby talking the scarred pitbull like it was some golden retriever puppy, and he also had Mary Puppins in his lap, playing with the tuft of hair on her head.
“And who is this little angel? Pool, why do you have a dog version of yourself?” Peter called out to Wade, who had gone to change his shirt and put shoes on.
“oh, got her too! Mary Puppins, aka Dogpool! I found her in the hands of a terrible, terrible man, and I totally didn't let him die on purpose so I could take her home with me.” Wade just explained with a grin, pulling on a mask and a jacket.
Peter just sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose, but let it go. He knew his fiancé. He'd never fully change his ways. Instead he just sighed, shook his head a little and kept petting the small pup and the bigger pup, letting them carefully sniff each other too.
“Anywhizzle, be right back babyboy! Gonna get you your tacos! Love ya boo!”
“Love you too. Don't forget the garlic sauce this time!” Peter called after Wade as he left, before standing up again and stretching a bit. He turned to Logan with a smile.
“tea? Coffee? I think we might have beers left too.” he offered as he passed Logan to go pick up his suitcase from where he'd left it by the door, pushing it into the bedroom and closing the door behind him.
Logan was still just watching Peter, wary and cautious, since the kid put him on edge for some reason. His hind brain was screaming at him ‘predator! Run!’ which made no sense since all that was in the apartment were Logan and this skinny twink. He figured it'd be best for now not to drink any more though, since he'd have to actually talk to the kid and that type of thing was better done sober. Unfortunately.
“uh… Coffee please?” Logan murmured quietly, awkwardly. Shit, the kid was so normal. How the fuck did Wade manage that? Logan hadn't talked to a normal person in years, what if he said something wrong?
The younger man nodded and moved to go make them both a cup before going to sit at the kitchen table with his laptop. “staying the night, I'll take it?” he asked, placing Logan's coffee on the table across from where Peter was sitting, and Logan nodded, still reeling from all the shit that just happened.
“uhm… Peter, was it? I should… Tell you something.” Logan eventually began, once his coffee was about half empty.
Peter moved to look at Logan over the edge of his laptop screen, his father's glasses askew on his nose, as he cutely tilted his head. “Yes?”
Logan took a long deep breath, slowly letting it out through his mouth. He then looked at Peter, awkward and apologetic.
“uhm… Okay so, Wade and I had sex, during our time in the void. I didn't know he was engaged till about 4 hours ago, but if I'd known I would have never said yes.” he murmured, fidgeting a bit with his finger nails.
“It's actually the reason why we were fighting. Y'know. When you walked in on us.”
Peter just stared at Logan for a minute before shrugging.
“Okay. Well, thank you for telling me. It's okay though. We have uh… We have this list thing, that has 5 exceptions. You're on his list, so legally I can't be mad.” Peter just explained with a smile, not a hint of anger or discomfort anywhere to be found.
“And sure, these lists are made as jokes, with unobtainable people on it, which I guess technically includes you since you're supposed to be dead, last time I checked. But, this is Wade we're talking about. Of course he'd grab the chance.” Peter simply explained as he continued typing on his laptop with one hand, his other hand stirring way too much sugar into his coffee.
Logan just stared at Peter for a long minute, processing. He then let out a gruff sound of confusion. “You're not mad?”
Peter just smiled again and shook his head. “not at all. If anything, I'm a little impressed. I know him better than anyone, and I've been with him for about 5 years. And even I want to throw him out of a window sometimes. The fact he managed to get you to actually have sex with him is a little insane.” Peter just joked light-heartedly. God this kid was a saint. How the hell did douchepool manage to bag someone like this?
Logan just stared at the table top for a minute, processing again, while Peter continued to type.
After another few minutes of silence, Peter spoke up again.
“Honestly, I wouldn't mind if you keep him… occupied... more often. He's kind of a lot to handle on my own. I have a lot to do, with my job and my classes and my second job, and I can't always keep up with his insane sex drive, so if you're interested in him, you have my blessing.” Peter said with another shrug and a smile directed at Logan.
“It's called polyamory, I think. Wade and I have talked about this before, if I'd be open to it. I'm willing to give it a try, and he knows this. I guess his mess of a head just forgot to actually tell you that, though, so I understand the confusion.”
Logan slowly nodded, looking back up at Peter.
“right…uh. What exactly would that mean?”
Peter shrugged again. “whatever we’re all comfortable with. You'll have to figure out with Wade what it is you two want from each other. Just sex, or a proper relationship, that's for you to discuss with him. I'm good with anything honestly, so long as I still get to marry my fiance eventually.”
Logan slowly nodded.
“okay… so…where do I sleep?” he then asked, looking around the apartment a bit. There seemed to be multiple bedrooms, but judging from the fact one had biohazard and high voltage signs stuck on the door, he figured they may not actually all be bedrooms.
Peter looked around as well.
“Well, for tonight at least, the couch is a pullout. I'm free tomorrow for the most part so I could probably empty out the knife room and put Wade's knives in the gun room to turn the knife room into a bedroom for you. We'll have to get you a bed, of course. But that shouldn't be too difficult.” Peter murmured, thinking, more talking to himself than to Logan at this point.
“Wade doesn't actually get a say since this is my apartment.” he then added with a small grin.
“Besides, putting his knives and guns in the same room is a small price to pay in exchange for him bringing home more strays. Though I have to admit, usually the strays are cats.” Peter added finally, gesturing to the black cat stretched out luxuriously on the other end of the table.
The older man looked at Peter as if he'd grown a second and then a third head for a second, actually wondering if he was hallucinating Peter entirely because there was no way this kid was real. There's no way someone this genuinely nice and kind and seemingly normal was somehow dating fucking Deadpool of all people.
“what the fuck is wrong with you, kid.” Logan grumbled out finally, still looking incredulously at Peter, which earned him a snort.
“I ask myself the same thing every day.”
Logan huffed out a small amused huff of air, shaking his head.
“how the fuck did you end up with that dickhead. You could do better, kid.” Logan murmured with no malice, just genuine curiosity.
“He's persistent. And surprisingly respectful. It helps that I've known him for a long time, too. I've had time to get used to him. He is a bit of an acquired taste. And… he's saved my life more than once. I kinda lost everything but him about 2 years ago, and he stuck with me through it all. He's a good guy, deep down. But he's a mess. And also, I'm not a kid dude. No offense but it makes Wade sound like a creep when you call me that.” Peter said, the last part playful so Logan would know he wasn't mad or offended.
Logan just snorted.
“I'm 200 years old, bub. Everyone's a kid to me.” he said, but complied, switching to his usual ‘petname’.
They continued to chat for a bit longer, steering to lighter topics, like what Peter was working on, and what he studied at MIT, stuff like that, for about 20 more minutes before Wade finally burst through the door with his arms full of take out food bags, a grin on his face.
“I'm home! And I've got baby boy tacos! And donuts! And deer jerky, because Logiebear looked like he was about ready to chew on me earlier so I better keep that mouth occupied with somethin’ else!”
Peter just looked up at his man with a loving smile as he took the largest bag, completely stuffed with tacos. “Thank God, I'm hungry. I'm not sharing by the way so I hope you two ate enough at dinner. I'm gonna eat this in my workshop while I finish some last things and then I'm goin’ to bed, if you two don't mind. Night! Love you Wade. It was nice to meet you, Mr wolverine!” Peter said as he took the taco bag and walked off towards the room with the hazard labels.
Wade grabbed him by the arm when he walked past though, pulling him into a kiss with a smile, which Peter happily returned for a few seconds until Wade pulled back from the kiss.
“Love you too, baby boy. Sweet dreams. Kittens and rainbows, all that.” Wade purred, giving Peter a final kiss on the forehead and a boop on the nose before turning him around playfully and smacking his ass to send him on his way.
Peter just laughed softly as he walked off. “you too for later. Don't take too long though. I've missed you, so I wanna cuddle.” Peter called over his shoulder as he walked into the room and then finally closed the door behind himself.
Wade sighed dreamily, sinking down in a chair with the donuts and a dopey smile. He then slid the bag of jerky over to Logan with a smile.
“Isn't he amazing?”
Logan sighed and took the bag, pulling out a pack of the jerky and chomping off a big bite, then slowly nodded, still baffled.
“yeah… he seems pretty great.”
[❤️💙💛]
Peter wasn't gone for long, and eventually he came out of his workshop dressed in nothing but one of Wade's my little pony shirts and some boxershorts with donuts on them, a pillow, some sheets and a large fluffy blanket in his arms. He smiled at Logan as he began to pull out the couch into a bed, then put the sheet on the mattress, his ass accidentally on full display as he was bent over the bed, and Wade was shamelessly watching him.
“hoooo baby boy, that ass. Truly a work of art.” Wade purred, grinning. It earned him a long, exasperated sigh.
“I know it's your birthday week, my love, but not tonight okay? I am way too tired. That trip took it out of me.” Peter murmured in response.
“I know, shnookums. I'm just enjoying the view~" Wade purred, face softening with a much warmer smile.
“Go get your rest first. You deserve all the sleep you could ever want.”
Peter couldn't help but smile, appreciating his boyfriends care, straightening up to spread out the blanket, then moved to fluff the pillow extra nicely before looking at Logan again with a tired but warm smile.
“Here you go, Mr. Wolverine. If there's anything else you need, let me know.” Peter then said.
“Just Logan is fine, bub. Thanks.” the older man grumbled with a hint of a smile back at the kid. How could he not smile? The kid was adorable and so patient and nice.
Peter nodded, smiling a bit brighter.
“Alright, Logan then. If you need more pillows or anything, feel free to ask, and you can raid the kitchen all you want. Just try to be a little quiet please. we're light sleepers, and if you wake up this idiot I won't get any sleep either.” Peter then said with a grin, pointing over his shoulder at Wade who was stuffing his face with a Captain America donut, now looking like a deer in headlights.
Logan snorted and nodded. “Yeah, I found that out the hard way. I'll do my best. Now go to bed, bub. You look like you're about to fall over.” he grumbled at the youngest man, a small smirk tugging at his lips.
Peter sighed. “Dude, I feel like I'm about to fall over. Just… If you need something, ask. and if not, I'm gonna go be dead for at least 12 hours. Night, boys. Love you Wade. Don't get blood on my rug, it was my aunt’s.”
And with that, Peter walked off back to the bedroom, yawning big and wide as he vanished through the door. And fuck the kid was cute.
Logan turned to Wade, sending him a look. “Seriously. How the fuck did you get that to date you? Blackmail? Are you paying him?” Logan asked, his tone of pure disbelief so strong it could crack walnuts.
Wade huffed, rolling his eyes. “Please, I'd never blackmail him. I'd be haunted by several dead avengers if I did.” he grumbled, folding his arms and pouting childishly.
“I'll have you know that I annoyed him till he fucked me stupid, like I did with you. Works every time.” he then said with a casual shrug, pout turning into a slight smug grin as he winked at Logan.
Logan just sighed and shook his head.
“I'm serious. How'd you get a civilian to put up with you and actually do so long enough to be engaged to you? You're insane, and you kill people.”
Wade hummed, his arms folding a little tighter, fingers gripping his upper arms hard enough to leave nail imprints.
“He's not actually a big fan of the killing, and I am trying to be better about it. But he knows I'll probably never fully stop killing people, so we have an agreement that if I only kill like, really bad bad guys, he'll pretend it didn't happen. As for my mental health? He's not exactly the pinnacle of mental health either. And he's not a civilian.” Wade explained, voice surprisingly serious and quiet for him.
“Pete and I, we used to clash. hard. We had totally opposite views on things, and he hated my guts for a long time. I didn't hate him, of course. How could I, when he was just a skinny, underfed and overworked kid? He was naive and idealistic, but hopeful and optimistic and pure in a way I wish I could be, too. And just so, so good. So, I started pestering him. Annoying him when he was out at night, bringing him food, subtly giving him evidence for whatever case he was working on from my underground contacts, whatever I could do to make life just a little easier for him. He was struggling so hard already, and I have always hated seeing him in pain or in need.”
“Eventually, I guess he got used to me always being around. Enough so, that after a while he started calling me his friend. I was so fucking honored, peanut. Petey wanted me around! We'd sometimes hang out at my place and play video games, or we'd be eating fast food on a rooftop somewhere. We got close, somehow became insepperable, you know? We saw each other almost every day whenever I was in New York. And somewhere along the way, he grew feelings for me. I don't know when, or how or why, but he did. He saw something in me that I still, for the life of me, cannot see myself. He saw beauty where I see pain, and he saw kindness where I see violence. I am grateful every fucking day that Petey somehow chose to love me”
Wade let out a long, sad sigh, moving to go sit on the chair next to the couch-bed, looking dead exhausted. His eyes were filled with so much bone-deep sorrow on Peter's behalf, gaze pointed at the floor.
“Then, about two years ago now, this thing happened. Some douchebag in a fishbowl tried to ruin his life, and he lost everything. And then a bitch wizard waved his magic mike hands and made him lose even more. No one remembers him, but me. As far as all the people who used to be his friends know, he never existed in the first place. He exists on paper, but not a single person other than me has any memory left of ever meeting a Peter B Parker.” Wade explained with so much misery on his face it would break even the most stoic people's hearts. He was mourning for Peter, and all the things he'll never have again.
“It was the worst day of Petey's life, by far. But, I proposed that day. I wanted Peter to know that I was never going anywhere. I'd be with him til the end of time. And miraculously, he said yes. I got us matching rings a week later. We moved into this apartment together the week after that. He rescued his dog two months after that. We haven't looked back. Somehow he chose me. I don't deserve it, but I'm so grateful anyway. He could do better. So much better. But for some reason he wants me, and I will never take that for granted. He's perfect, and he's my everything, and somehow this human embodiment of kindness, resilience and hope is mine. And I love him more than anything.”
Logan stared at Wade, wide eyed and shocked. For the first time ever as far as Logan was concerned, Wade looked completely sane, not a hint of a joke anywhere in his voice. He was completely serious, stone cold sober, miserable and completely devoted, and it made Logan see Wade in an entirely new light.
Gone was the jokester, the jester that never stopped yapping. Gone was the annoying asshole that couldn’t take shit seriously. Instead, there was an incredibly kind and generous man, who loved with all his being, with every fiber of his body and soul. Someone heartbroken and lonely, who had somehow found the one, and who would do anything to keep them. And he did truly mean anything. Peter was Wade's everything, and he'd burn the world to ashes if Peter asked, that much was clear. Logan was completely floored.
And then Wade sighed again, cracking a sad attempt at a mischievous smile. “And of course, that ass! It's to die for. 10 out of 10, very much my favorite food.”
And there it was.
Logan rolled his eyes hard, but let out a soft snort with a small smile.
“yeah alright. I'll admit it, kid's got a good ass.” Logan sighed, exasperated.
He figured it was best to let Wade lighten up the mood a little, because sad and heartbroken felt wrong on Wade.
Wade nodded solemnly. “the best ass in America. Can't wait til I get to shove my face all the way up in there again. I suggest finding yourself some good earplugs, peanut. Because while Peter is shy and quiet, I know very well how to make him scream pretty.” Wade continued on, grinning now, shoulders relaxing.
Logan gave the other man a look of mild disgust, nose all wrinkled up cutely.
“fuck’s sake.” he sighed, just moving to go lay down on the couch bed.
“go the fuck to bed.”
The taller man giggled a little and got up from the chair, a big grin on his face. “Well, peanut! You know if you want me to make you scream too all you need to do is ask! Ni-night honey badger!” Wade called after himself as he skipped towards the bedroom to go snuggle up to his boo.
Logan just groaned in disgust in response, getting under the blankets and then throwing the pillow over his head.
“Whatever. Night.”
