“Saint Warcury! Have you seen my son!? He went missing in the commotion!”
“Saint Garling, calm down. It's not like you to be so emotional while on the battlefield.”
“Yeah, well, my son is missing! ”
“I see one of them is over with Saint Nyx of House Aldercrest. Your Vice Captain.”
“Yes, Shamrock is with Nyx. But Shanks is missing… He’s not on any of the ships that are evacuating. Please, is he here?” Garlings said, catching his breath.
“No, I have not seen him.”
“We have to go back!”
“Ok, you and the Holy Knights take a ship and go search the island. As the Figarland Family is in Imu-sama’s favor, we Elders will watch over your other son while you go.”
“Thank you.”
Warcury watched as Garling took the Holy Knights and returned to the Island that was in flames. Several hours passed before they returned. A look of defeat on their faces.
“I take it you didn’t find him?”
“No… I should have made vivre cards for them before I decided to leave Marijoa. Dammit.”
“Did you find a body?”
“No…”
“Then it’s possible he’s not dead yet.”
“Perhaps. But he could just be at the bottom of the ocean. I want a vivre card for Shamrock made immediately.” Garling ordered.
Nine years later…
“Saint Garling.”
“It’s a surprise the 5 elders would call me here. You're very busy after all.”
“Yes, well, I’m sure you know by now that your son Shanks was taken by the Roger Pirates. As was found out nearly 7 years ago. Unfortunately we haven’t been able to get close enough to get him back. But now that the Roger Pirates Captain has been executed, the Roger Pirates are no longer intact. I regret to inform you that, unbeknownst to us until just this morning, the Roger Pirates disbanded over a year ago. After Rogers' execution, we took to tracking Shanks on behalf of you. Fortunately, he is not with any of the Roger Pirates. After Rogers' execution, he has been traveling alone. Or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it. He is only 10 years of age, and the seas are dangerous. He also has a bounty for being a Roger Pirate, which will get him targeted. We are trying to rescind this bounty, but that could take weeks if not months. His location is an island in the East Blue, Moonpool Island. Imu-sama has already granted you leave if you wish to go,” Saint Warcury explained.
“Yes, of course. Thank you. I’ll leave at once.” Garling immediately left and headed towards the east blue.
