Work Text:
Despite the chill in the air, you were unable to stop the sweat that broke out on your skin as you stood before the pair. You were dressed in the typical manner for this type of thing, a white dress that was virtually see through, hiding nothing from the men that stood before. It was far from the first time and far from the last time that your village had sold off whichever woman’s family decided they were tired of feeding her to the band of dragon warriors that lived at the top of the mountain, and this time it happened to be you.
“She’s pure, I swear it, just a little skinny!” Your father pleaded, making your nose curl in disgust. The summer had been filled with a drought that left your family's farm barren and with that, along with being the middle child of 12 other siblings, it only made sense to them to sell you off. You were the oldest of the ones that hadn’t married off yet, and honestly your prospects weren’t very good in finding a husband department.
You stilled your face as one of the many men gathered smirked at you. He was blond, red eyes shining at you. He was shirtless despite the chill, and off to his side stood another man. This one was clearly a shifter, he had the telltale horns jutting out from his brow, fangs sharp as he grinned at you while catching your eye as it drifted to him. Despite the ferocity of his fangs, his smile seemed genuine enough, eyes crinkling.
“Do you agree to the terms, Miss. (y/n)?” A voice asked, causing you to rip your head away from the pair. He asked if you had a choice. At least from what you heard, the dragon warriors treasured their brides, and it seemed much better than whatever awaited for whatever waited for you on the streets you would have to move too if you went back home. You cursed yourself for not paying more attention as they read out the contract.
You knew the jist of it for the most part from hearing about it from gossip in the town. You would be sold off as a bride to the highest bidder, and with that you would essentially become theirs. You would never be able to return home, as the contracts were life binding. You had to hold back your eyeroll, again as if you had a choice in this all. A woman on her own in this town was as good as dead anyway.
“I do.” Your voice was soft as you spoke, shaking slightly from the cold, eyes flicking back to the pair without meaning to. The dragon shifter was whispering something to the blond man, his long red hair falling to cover part of his face. You figured they had to be a pair, and a young one at that.
From what you had heard from the gossip mill, before a warrior even found a bride, they were required to finish their training, which normally wasn’t done until their thirties, and after their training, and after that, they had to prove themselves to the village of shifters across the continent, a journey that often ended in death. The fact that they were here today was honestly shocking to you. The rest of the men gathered were closer to your father’s age than your own, and a secret part of you hoped they would be the ones to buy you, as fucked up as that seemed.
“Let the bidding begin then.” A terrifying mountain of a man called, numbers called out as you looked down. You didn’t want to know, not want to allow hope to build to see if they were bidding on you, or even worse to have that hope fall if they were outbid. It seemed to last for hours, but also only a span of seconds before the voice called out again, “Sold!”
You were suddenly grabbed, a gasp escaping as two men ushered you off the makeshift stage and down to the frozen ground below. “Hey! She can walk on her own! No one is permitted to touch my wife.” A harsh voice spit out from the crowd, causing your head to jerk to the side, breath catching in what was almost relief as the blond man rushed forward, the red haired one on his heels as he shoved past the crowd.
“Poor girl, bought out by Bakugou of all people.” One of the men holding you shook his head as he released you, the frost on the ground soaking into your thin socks, making your toes numb as your heart dropped. The man was on you soon, grabbing your arm roughly and spinning you around, crashing into the chest of the red-haired man, who steadied you, a cheeky grin as he looked down at you.
They were so much bigger in person, practically caging you between them as “Bakugou” growled something at the two men. Maybe you had bit off more than you could chew, shivering as your eyes flicked between them.
“Cold, wife?” The red haired man asked, tone light, but you still stiffened. You had figured it would just be Bakugou who owned you, but you guessed it made sense since they were a pair. You really wished you had paid attention to the announcers words now. Bakugou flipped around at the man's words, forgetting his argument as his eyes narrowed on you.
“Of course she’s cold, look at this stupid fucking thing how could anyone be warm in this.” He said to the other man, pinching the thin fabric of the dress on your shoulder in disgust. “Eijiro’s like a fucking fire pit, he’ll keep you warm until we get home.” He said, shoving you lightly towards the other man, who caught you with open arms, pulling you into his chest in a way that made your cheeks flush. He wasn’t wrong either, the warmth instantly spreading across you.
Bakugou huffed, turning back to watch the rest of the meeting with his arms crossed, standing slightly in front of you as if he was blocking you from view as he listened intently.
“Stand on my boots, your feet are going to freeze, wife.” Eijiro said, pulling you a little closer to him as he leaned down to whisper into your ear. His arms that held you were massive, muscles rippling in a way that made you dizzy and he adjusted his grip. “I’m Eijiro, that’s Katsuki,” He said nodding to the man before you, “I’m sorry normally we get to go home after finding a wife, but since Kat’s next in line he has to stay for the whole meeting.” He explained, his whisper making you shiver. Next in line? Wife?
“(y/n),” You whispered back, “My name that is.” You added, causing him to smile at you, the fangs so close to you you couldn’t help but feel nervous, shrinking a bit. He must have caught on, mouth falling shut as he spoke again.
“There’s no need to be nervous.” He said, “You are with us now. We will protect you.” he added, not realizing that they were the reason you were nervous. You nodded hesitantly, easing a bit as the meeting went on, Eijiro quietly explaining things to you as Katski stood before you both, form stoic. Out of the two of them, you were glad to be shoved into Eijio’s arms, the man's comment from earlier still ringing in your head as you watch the way his cape fluttered behind him.
The meeting seemed to drag on forever, and by the time it was finally over, you were shivering despite Eijiro’s hold, teeth chattering as he tried to pull you impossibly closer, large form looming over you.
“Fucking finally!” Katsuki barked, turning back towards the two of you as the people began to disperse. His eyes roamed over you with a frown before he stepped forward, suddenly gripping your chin in a way that made you gasp, “Are you alright, wife?” His soft tone took you off guard as he scanned your face, so close to you.
“(y/n).” Eijiro offered, leaning his head down so that it was next to your, cheeks touching as Katsuki’s gaze flicked to him. “She’s just cold, Kat let’s get her home.” They led you away from the group, into a carriage, the air instantly feeling warmer once you were hidden from the wind. The silence was heavy as you sat, curled to the side, Eijiro beside you as Katsuki sat before you, arms crossed.
“I’m going to talk to that stupid ass leader of yours, these dresses are a hazard, what if you got a cold?” he asked, making you flinch at his tone.
“Ease up Kat, you’re gonna scare her.” Eijiro warned, pulling you closer to his warmth. They continued to bicker as if you weren’t even there. The ride to the village passed, them asking you general questions about yourself, such as your favorite food or if you knew how to start a fire. By the time you knew it, the carriage stopped, the pair leading you to an honestly impressive house.
The warmth hit you as soon as you walked in, despite the fireplace being almost down to coals. You didn’t know what you expected from a pair of young dragon warriors, but it wasn’t the cozy home that sat before you. You couldn’t help the sigh of relief that escaped as you drifted further in, the pair following you closely, almost stepping on each other as they scrambled after you. “It’s nice.” You said with a soft smile, turning and almost stumbling back at their closeness.
“Just tell us what you want and it’s yours.” Katsuki said, his voice rough, but his face was sincere, and you were starting to think he was just like that, angry or not.
“You wouldn’t happen to have any clothes?” You asked, suddenly aware of how bare you truly felt. Their eyes widened, their scorching gazes falling on you, making you cross your arms, cheeks heating.
“Your room, I’ll show you-”
“Of course we have clothes for you-” They cut each other off, both their hands coming to a shoulder as they steered you down the hall.
“My room?” You whispered as they threw open a door, practically shoving you in in their haste. You had expected to have to share a room with them, being a “bride” or “wife” or whatever, but instead you stood in front of a pretty bare room, clearly not someone's room. There was only a bed and a small chest of drawers, and a large mirror in the corner.
“We weren’t sure what you would like-”
“I’m serious just tell us if you want-” They both spoke at the same time again, cutting each other off with a glare that caused you to laugh. Eijiro wrapped his arm around Katsuki’s shoulder, smiling brightly at you.
“We’ll leave you to get settled! You’ll know where to find us.” He grinned, pulling a sputtering Katsuki out of the room, closing the door behind them, the taller man whining as Katsuki yanked his head down by his horn, wrestling down the hall.
Life with the two wasn’t anything what you expected. You had horror stories of wives being used like pets, forced to serve on their husbands hand and foot, your mother one of them, but it was almost more like a roommate situation with them. You weren’t expected to do anything really, except tell them if you needed anything. Everytime you cooked or cleaned, they smiled at you like you hung the stars, new presents showing up in front of your bedroom door almost every morning.
They were often gone most of the day, only coming back just before dinner, and you couldn’t help but feel sort of lonely. As much as you didn’t want to be sold off, you sort of expected something more than the arms length they held you at. Anyone with eyes could see they were attractive, and the way they cared for you only seemed to intensify your feelings. It felt like you had a crush, like a kid as you spoke with them, almost nervous.
The weather had started to change, the first signs of spring pulling you outside to tend to the garden that had long been abandoned. It felt almost therapeutic in a way to have your hands in the dirt as you weeded. You must have lost track of time, because the sun had nearly set by the time you heard the footsteps crunching along the dirt, getting closer. With the way the last rays of sun were shining, you could not make out the lumbering forms coming toward you, but something had to be wrong with the way they stumbled, leaning together. You jumped to your feet, abandoning your work and running towards them, heart racing.
“Hello wife! Looking lovely as always.” Eijiro sang, falling forward only to be caught by a frowning Katsuki. They both looked terrible, cuts and bruises lining their skin, Eijiro’s smile missing a tooth, dried blood covering his chin.
“What happened?” You asked, almost shrill as you approached, frantically looking between them as Eijiro dipped his head, squishing his cheeks into your hands.
“You big oaf!” Katsuki grumbled, struggling to hold him upright as he practically melted into your hands. “We need to get inside.” He winced as Eijiro knocked into him.
“Of course.” You said, feeling ridiculously unhelpful as you slid under Eijiro’s other arm, nearly falling yourself as he leaned into you.
“I got poisoned!” Eijiro laughed in your ear as you entered the house, Katsuki throwing him on the couch with a huff.
“Poisoned?” You asked, eyes widening. “What does he mean? Is he going to be okay?” Your voice raised as you turned to Katsuki.
“He’ll be fine.” He said, looking more tired than you had ever seen him, one eye beginning to swell shut. “It affects shifters differently, the healer said he just had to sleep it off.” He sagged onto the chair. “You wouldn’t happen to know any first aid? We were the lucky ones.” He said it so softly you barely heard him, but you nodded, rushing to the bathroom to grab some supplies.
You knew the basics, but that was about it, unsure of yourself as you entered the room, glancing between them. They both have let their eyes fall shut, Katsuki frowning and Eijiro having a small smile on his face. It almost reminded you of the way the drunkards stumbled their way home, not even noticing as they skinned their knees on the pavement.
“I can take care of myself.” Katsuki said, instantly cringing at his harsh tone of voice as you flinched, “I mean, I got it, just get this disaster cleaned up will you?” He tried again, gentler this time, gesturing to the man on the couch, grabbing some supplies from you before disappearing down the hall.
You shook your head, walking towards Eijiro, unable to stop the small smile that spread across your face as he grinned brightly at you. “Don’t mind Kat, he’s just worried.” He said with a wink.
“Worried?” You pressed, tilting his head up to look into his face. Along with the mess of his mouth, he also had a pretty serious looking gash along his hairline, stopping at the base of his horn. You wet a rag, lightly trying to pat the blood away.
“You make him nervous.” He mused, catching your wrist in his hand, pulling it down and placing a kiss on your open palm as you froze. He let you go as soon as he grabbed you, your hands shaking now as you continued to clean the wound. “We don’t want you to leave.” He said sadly.
“I’m not going anywhere.” You reassured him. Even if you wanted to, it wasn’t like you could, but you realized you didn’t want to leave. He pouted up at you as you applied a bandage, moving down to clean the small cuts across his cheeks.
“You’re beautiful.” He sighed, “I wish you weren’t so scared all the time.” He pouted, kissing your fingertip as you cleaned the blood from his mouth. Your hands only shook harder, his boldness making your cheeks flush.
“You’re okay.” You soothed, voice shaking. His words had a bit of truth, especially towards the beginning, but that wasn’t necessarily true anymore.
“You always get so shaky,” He continued, lips brushing against your hand,”and your face gets like this,” He said, a hand coming up to graze your cheek, “Your heartbeat picks up too, like right now, I can always hear it.” He admits, causing you to flush deeper, allowing yourself to lean into his hold as he cupped your face.
“It’s not because I’m afraid.” You admitted softly and his eyes widened in realization.
“Oh.” He said simply, leaning up, closer to you. “What is it then, wife?” He had a teasing glint in his eyes, face unbelievably close to yours. His hair was pulled back, horns prominent as he inched closer, but you realized you weren’t scared, just nervous.
“Leave her alone, Ei.” A stern voice said, warning as you jumped back. “You’re supposed to be asleep.” He added, a brief moment of concern flashing over his face as he glanced at you, gone as soon as it came.
“No fun.” Eijiro whined, pulling himself off the couch, causing you to step back. He lumbered to his room, bumping shoulders with Katsuki in a friendly manner as he passed. Katsuki only shook his head. He had cleaned up a bit, skin still covered in wounds, but looking cleaner, more relaxed as he flopped into the chair.
“I’m sorry about him, he’ll be back to normal tomorrow.” He grumbled, picking up the notebook he kept on the side table. His brow was creased as he began to write, and you weren’t sure what to do with yourself. Out of the pair, Eijiro was definitely the easier to talk to, you would even go so far to call him your friend at this point, despite the interaction a few moments ago, but Katsuki was different. It was like he held you at a distance on purpose, almost like your presence bothered him, despite the small things he would leave at your door. You could easily tell what was from who most of the time, Eijiro often spoiling you with the most lavish clothes you had ever seen or a new set of jewelry, but Katsuki’s were simple, a book you were interested in or a new set of gardening tools the day after you had mentioned wanting to begin taking it on.
It was like he could read everything about you, but you hardly knew a thing about him. He was just so quiet, and if he wasn’t he was often bickering with Eijiro, face red as the other man laughed.
“Do you-” You hesitated as his eyes flicked up to you. “Eijiro said I make you nervous?” You blurted out the last part like it was a question, cringing as it fell out.
He looked at you for a moment, his eyes unreadable. “You do.” He answered simply, as if it made any sense whatsoever. You were sure he could take you down with one finger.
“Why?” You asked, beyond confused as you stepped forward, almost only a foot left between you now as you stood before him.
He watched you, leaning forward slightly, “I don’t know how to be gentle. I-I don’t want you to run away.” He said, the pause in his voice squeezing your heart. You had no idea they were both so worried about scaring you away, but it made sense when you thought about it in that way. “Go to bed, wife, it’s late.” He added, the sun already long gone. You hadn’t realized how late it had gotten, the exhaustion from the day suddenly hitting you.
“I’m not going anywhere.” You said with a yawn, “There’s not really anything you all could do to scare me off.” You added, turning to leave. Before you could even take a step though, a gasp escaped as he suddenly jumped up, gripping your arm lightly.
“Are you sure about that, wife?” His tone made you stiffen, voice low as he scanned your face. His next move surprised you most, when he leaned down, your eyelids fluttering shut, only to feel his lips fall on your brow rather than your own. “Go to bed.” He repeated, shoving you slightly down the hall as your heart pounded.
Eijiro was almost fully healed by the next morning, the only sign anything really had happened to him was the missing tooth. You had hardly believed him when he told you it would grow back, pausing your cooking as he leaned down, incredibly close as he showed you a new tooth was in fact starting to push through his gums.
“Pretty cool, huh?” He asked, words jumbled with his finger still in his laugh as he laughed.
“That’s amazing.” You murmured, eyes wide as you looked, almost squinting.
“Don’t tell him that, his head doesn’t need to get bigger than it already is.” Katsuki said, causing you to jump back. He, on the other hand, still looked rough. His eye had begun to bruise into a deep purple, the scratches on his skin still an angry red without the bandages.
“So mean!” Eijiro whined, surprising you as he grabbed you, arm wrapped around your shoulders as he pulled you back to him. “She can compliment me all she wants.” He said, almost sounding irritated despite the way he still grinned, hooking his head on your shoulder.
Katsuki’s eyes narrowed a bit before turning to the stove. “You’re gonna burn it.” He said softly. He stirred the food with such care, a completely different side of him showing through.
“You’re just jealous.” Eijiro jokes, pressing the side of his face closer to yours, his hold on you tightening. You couldn’t help but blush at his words, flushing deeper as Katsuki’s gaze flicked to you both. His eyes were soft as he watched the both of you, the small smile not what you were expecting as Eijiro nuzzled his cheek into yours.
“Not jealous.” He murmured, removing the pan from the heat, stepping closer to the pair of you. He reached up, a hand on both of your cheeks as he lightly ran his thumb over the skin, goosebumps exploding over you as Eijiro leaned into him. “You both need to eat.” He said simply, releasing you both and turning again, grabbing plates. Eijiro released you too, but not before smashing a kiss on your cheek, making you blush as he followed Katsuki to the dining room.
It had begun to rain heavily after you all ate, the group moving into the living room. The fire roared in the hearth, the air cozy as you curled onto the couch, Eijiro pulling your legs into his lap as Katsuki watched you both over the top of his book from the chair, gaze lingering for perhaps too long. You were trying to read, Eijiro’s hands sliding up and down your calf making it hard to concentrate.
He didn’t even pretend to be busy like you and Katsuki were, instead watching you with a small smile on his face. His hand was starting to drift higher, your heartbeat speeding up as you tried to focus on the page, rereading the same paragraph over again. “Your heart’s picked up again.” He said, tone teasing now that you told him what it meant, that you weren’t scared. Your eyes flicked over to Katsuki, unsurprised but slightly embarrassed nonetheless to find him staring back at you, ever watchful as Eijiro gripped your thigh with a squeeze.
Eijiro’s movements had hiked your dress higher, the soft skin of your thighs on full display from his spot, and Katsuki just could not tear his eyes away. His hands slipped higher as your breath caught, turning your hips to face him, pulling your thighs apart in a way that made you drop your book with another gasp, body instantly melting to him.
“Look at her…”Eijiro murmured, trailing a stream of kisses down your inner thigh, an embarrassing sound falling from you as he lightly bit down on the skin, fangs digging in softly. Your head lulled to the side to watch Katsuki.
He watched you intensely, “Tell me what she feels like.” He said, voice low. Eijiro moved instantly, like it was a command, fingers looping in your underwear before pulling roughly, causing you to cry out at the fabric tearing.
“Don’t worry, wife.” He soothed with a laugh, nipping at your skin once again as his finger traced your core, “I can always get you a new pair.”
“I got her that pair, stupid.” Katsuki grumbled, finally setting his book down. He didn’t move though, looking imposing as he watched from the chair.
“Hmm, you’re right.” Eijiro said with a laugh, surprising you as he slid a finger in, making you moan at the contact. “She’s so warm, so wet.” He reported, voice sounding distant. He continued to work you, eventually sliding a second finger in as you whined, head falling back to the couch, eyes fluttering shut. “She’s so tight.” His voice sounded almost strained, just before sinking his teeth back into your thigh, causing you to cry out.
Katsuki had leaned up, elbows resting on his knees as he listened, his chin propped up on a hand. “Of course she is, we haven’t fucked her out.” He said, filthy words making you flush. “Make her cum, Eijiro.” He stated, your head falling back again as Eijiro leaned forward, his mouth circling around your clit. Your head spun at the sensation, feeling hot all over as a pressure began to build.
Your one hand slid down to grip onto one of Eijiro’s horns causing him to groan into you, the vibrations making you see stars as your other hand held out for Katsuki, begging him to come closer. He hesitated for a moment, but when you opened your eyes to look at him, eyes wide and pleading, the restraint he held inside snapped. He stumbled forward, taking your hand in his own, his other hand gripping your hair as he tilted your head further back, crashing his lips to yours. With that, you shattered around Eijiro’s tongue, not stopping even as you came, his grip on your thighs tighter as he pushed them up more, fingers sliding out as his tongue dipped into you.
You pulled away from Katsuki with a gasp, a whimper at the sensation of Eijiro feeling almost too much. “Oh wife,” He said with a laugh, eyes dark as he looked down at you, “Still not scared?”
