Chapter Text
The battle raged all around Lucifer, who was held aloft by his great wings, spanning the entire battlefield that was once a hotel. He looked down upon the form of Adam, who held aloft a chunk of alastors red coat, waving it like a war flag.
Lucifer, albeit, hated Alastor, but in that moment hated Adam much more. Adam, who had, year after year terrorised his people. Adam, who had refused any form of cooperation with his daughter. Adam, who had now murdered so many of his daughters' newfound family.
Lucifer heard his daughter cry out as an explosion rang across the battlefield scattering the burning wreckage of an airship through the air like meteors. He dodged the flying chunks of metal, his wings creating a puissant gust of wind as he flew full speed at Adam, who was still looking smug, now looming over Charlie, beginning to lift her aloft by the neck.
Lucifer's fist collided with the side of Adam's head at the near speed of sound, sending Adam's figure into the now broken hotel sign. Adam let out a loud scream of pain as his body flopped to the ground, before quickly getting up to face Lucifer again, who was now setting Charlie on the ground with all the gracefulness in the world, saying words to her that Adam could not make out.
Lucifer stared at Adam's bleeding face, his mask now broken. It was a face he had not seen in many millenia, but knew all too well.
“Seriously! How many of you freaks do I have to fight!” Adam grumbled loudly, dusting himself off.
“Oh, I'm the only one that matters. See, you mess with my daughter, you mess with me!” lucifer bellowed.
“And now, I am going to FUCK YOU”
There was an eerie pause in the scene, the king's voice carried, and the entire battle halted to see if he would realise his mistake.
“It's… its fuck you UP, dad” Charlie remarked, with an apologetic look to the offended cannibal women to the right of her. (homophobic bitch)
“Wait what did I say-” Lucifer was cut off by Adam barrling into him full speed, which was, to his right, quite fast (despite, as Lucifer noticed, the weight he had put on recently). Adam pressed Lucifer into the wall, crushing the smaller man's frame under him, until Lucifer slipped free, transforming himself into a snake.
Lucifer and Adam fought in the sky, Lucifer's form changing so rapidly, with both of them darting about quicker than lightning, Lucifer's playful one sided banter chirping in amidst Adam's grunts of frustration at the nimble fellow.

As the fight raged on, Vaggie frantically wrestled Lute's spear, which was just inches away from her only good eye. She managed to flip Lute, who wore a crazed smile on her bleeding face, off of her, Lute's crumpled figure rolling onto the hard ground.
Lute decided to cut her losses, flapping her wings to gain momentum skywards, taking in the scene of the battle, breathing in the blood-stricken air. Her eyes landed on the flashes of gold, read, and white, above the hotel's ruined entryway. they widened as she recognized Adam, falling down, still under heavy assault from Lucifer's bleeding fists. The pair slammed into the ground hard, Lucifer driving Adams face into the smouldering crater. Before finally taking a breath and pushing back his hair, satisfied with Adam’s limp, barely breathing from beneath him.
Lute face once again cracked a maniacal smile, as she noticed a blonde figure watching over the battle, clad in a red dress. Completely unaware of her sneak attack. She drew back her spear for the final time, putting all her energy into hurling it at the form of Charlie Morningstar at full speed.
Charlie whipped around to face the angelic weapon hurtling towards her, just in the nick of time to feel her body be thrust into the ground by her father.
As if in slow motion Lucifer had reacted to the spear being thrown at his only daughter, springing off of Adam's torso to push her to the ground, shielding her body using his own.
The spear pierced in the lower half of his abdomen, its thin shape allowing it to cleanly pass through his entire body, stopping mere inches away from his daughter's chest. He heard the pop of it forcing its way through his back moments before he was encased in the white hot, burning pain of being stabbed by an angelic steel weapon, something not even the king himself was immune to.
The ending battle halted as he let out an earth shattering shriek at the unwanted intrusion of metal in his stomach, flopping off of them thankfully safe Charlie. He breathed heavily, the pain not letting up at all, as he struggled to his feet, a look of sheer horror in his face
He had lost. He was done for, and Charlie would be killed, and everyone else would be too. The extermination would go on, his people never again able to rise up against it.
Worst of all, he would never gaze into the face of Lilith again. His beautiful wife who had left 7 years ago and never returned.
Perhaps she would be there, wherever he went after he was done.
He knew he could not give in yet. He put on a braver face, taking a shaky step towards Adam, before his ankle snagged on Charlie's hand, which was grasping the bottom of his pant leg, a look of terror in her face.
Charlie did not want to lose her dad.

The first to react was Cherri Bomb, headstrong as ever.
“AY FUCK YOU, STUPID CUNT! OVER HERE!” she screamed, rushing towards Adam, who had risen from the crater with the help of Lute. As she jumped at his back, however, she was knocked completely clear of the pair by his large wing.
Angel dust then fired his gun at the duo, only for his non angelic bullets to bounce off Adam's hulking form like tic tacs.
Adam and Lute began to move toward Lucifer and Charlie together, sporting cruel sneers, intent on finishing the job, but hesitated as a bright light rained down from the sky, and a whooshing sound filled the air.
Not long after, with an earth shattering screech of pure rage, came the full demonic form of Lilith Morningstar, the former first woman, her heeled boots crashing down on the ruins of the hotel with the sound of a thousand of Cherris’ bombs raining down on hell.
Lilith was already a tall woman, her regular form practically towering over her wee husband. But her demonic form was so much larger, easily 5 metres tall. Her blond hair scattered wildly around her, glowing with raw power.
Her angry face had many eyes, all of which glared down at Adam, even he, did she surpass in size.
She stood, hunched over, tail flicking, in a smouldering crater, keeping her angry eyes trained on Adam, (who was, in that moment, about to piss himself).
As the entire cannibal army, as well as the hotel crew watched breathlessly, she stretched to her full height, sauntering her way in front of her husband and daughter to face Adam and Lute in battle.
The battle that would follow was a blur to Lucifer, who was now laying with his head on Charlie's lap, slipping in and out of consciousness. He remembered flashes of light, the cries of Adam and Lute. He saw above him, the blurred outline of them being carried through the pearly gates by the few remaining exorcists.
He swore he even saw flashes of his wife, but he knew, as he fully blacked out, that that wasn't possible.
The last thing he heard was the wail of the ambulance, and a sweet, deep but feminine voice talking to him before he was out like a light.
