Chapter Text
Peter Parker, his Aunt May, and Tony Stark sat on a couch in the billionaire’s personal penthouse floor, discussing Peter's plans for his eighteenth birthday. It was not going the way the high schooler had hoped.
"Hold on, kid. Let me get this straight. You're telling me that, although I am offering to pay for anything as a gift for your eighteenth birthday, you just want a sleepover?"
Peter blushed heavily at Tony's dry tone. Aunt May covered her mouth and shifted to the side to hide her snickering. Peter gave her a very unimpressed stare.
"What, honey? Look, I told you that was a very...interesting way to handle your birthday, but your happiness is all that matters. I'm honestly just grateful you didn't ask for something scandalous like a strip club night or something," Aunt May said, going faint just from the thought of her baby boy asking for such a thing.
Tony smirked at the woman and she just knew he was going to say something scandalous.
"I actually bought a strip club for my eighteenth birthday. Good times, good times. Could serve as a learning lesson for the kid too."
Aunt May glared at him, opening her mouth to respond but Peter quickly spoke up.
"Can we, please, not do this right now? Look, Uncle Stark, I really just want a sleepover," Peter begged, turning back to Tony.
Said man and Aunt May looked to each other with understanding looks. Peter only ever used the nickname 'Uncle Stark' when overly emotional or really serious and he seemed to be both right now.
"Okay, kid. Sure. We can do a sleepover but I am going to go all out and it will be in the penthouse...if your Aunt May is okay with that?"
Tony blushed slightly as he became sheepish and turned to Aunt May. She stared at him skeptically for a second but ultimately gave in when Peter gave her his famous puppy eyes. (Like seriously, he even managed to perfect the look in his Spider-Man suit.)
"Okay, okay! Have very much legal fun, Pete-y," Aunt May spoke firmly to an ecstatic Peter.
Peter smiled and thanked them again before backflipping over the couch, grabbing his overnight bag, and then heading for his room. Aunt May and Tony waited until the door shut completely before turning back to each other quickly.
"I want you to supervise the sleepover if you don't mind. I know Peter will invite his girlfriend and although I trust them both, I really don't want to risk anything," Aunt May said before Tony could even breathe out a word.
Tony threw his body backwards, sinking deeper into the cushions with a dramatic groan. May almost rolled her eyes when she seen his playful smile.
Before he could respond, his phone buzzed on the table with a message from Pepper, who was making sure Tony knew that she thought he really needed to get back to work. The discussion of Peter's birthday was more important though and luckily, Pepper was very understanding of that but that didn’t mean she didn’t voice her thoughts on the matter.
Tony checked a few emails really quick before locking his phone and giving May his undivided attention once more.
Aunt May suddenly gripped his wrist, instantly making Tony tense up. His eyes snapped down to her hand before looking back up to lock on her eyes. He was surprised to find a pleading gaze staring back at him.
"Tony, I know we've had our differences over Peter but I appreciate this, you. It means so much to Peter and me," she spoke softly.
Tony nodded, slightly uncomfortable with the empathetic atmosphere. He never knew what to do when it came to praise or thanks…or affection…or admiration, basically anything nice or sweet. It always made him uncomfortable in a way he couldn’t really explain.
"There is this girl that joined Peter’s friend group. She's the sweetest thing but I suspect she's on her own," May said suddenly.
Tony sat up in his seat, becoming serious.
"She's eighteen already, an Omega. I know she's technically an adult, but she's struggling, I just know it. I don't know how to help her. Oh, God, Tony. She's attention and touch starved. Poor thing cried when I hugged her for the first time. She almost didn't leave my arms. Then, she actually lit up when I asked her about classes," May spoke, sadness clouding her eyes as she thought of the day Peter introduced you to her.
Tony's eyes widened, not expecting to hear something like that. Peter hadn’t mentioned you to him before, so he was genuinely clueless on the whole thing. What May was saying was very concerning though.
An Omega being on their own wasn't illegal or anything but it definitely was not recommended or commonly found. Omegas need so much care, attention, and love that living on their own can physically harm them. Their bodies will shut down and they will go into such a severe depression that they won't take care of themselves. They’d lose all survival skills, and eventually, just...pass away. It's such a hazard that a law was implemented not too long ago when the death rate became way too high: any befitting person can legally take in any Omega in need, no questions asked. Tony honestly though it should’ve been put into place decades ago but beggars can’t be choosers.
May squeezed Tony’s wrist a little before releasing him.
"Tony, look. I'm not making you do anything. If you’re up to it, I just want you to help her at the sleepover. She's so shy and I think the safety of your very, very secure tower can bring her deep comfort. Her favorite foods are tomato soup and grilled cheese. One of the only things that gets her talking. Could you, please, have some there, along with whatever Peter wants? I'd be so grateful."
It was quiet for a long while as Tony processed everything.
Eventually, he spoke up, "Of course, May. I think I actually have an idea."
Three days later, Tony and Peter were handcrafting the boy’s birthday invitations. Tony just wanted to send out emails but Peter made sure he was well aware that some of his friends don't have emails or can't check them, which quite frankly, Tony found preposterous and unbelievable. The older of the pair was not happy about the kindergarten vibe he was getting from the arts and crafts project. The multitude of colored papers was making him sick, for sure.
"Okay, so you're inviting the girl you crushed on before you got with your girlfriend? Peter, that's so not a good idea. Is MJ even okay with that?"
Peter paused in his scissoring as he took in the question. His tongue, which had been sticking out as he concentrated on cutting the perfect pieces of paper, popped right back into his mouth.
"MJ is perfectly fine with it...I think. She said she was since Liz is on-and-off with Flash. Plus, she’s the reason me and Liz even stayed friends," Peter trailed off as he started to second-guess himself.
Tony snorted, moving around the counter to pat Peter's shoulder lightly.
"Just some future advice, women usually say the opposite of what they mean," Tony said, referencing to his own experiences with Pepper.
Peter nodded, suddenly looking very sweaty and pale as his nerves overtook him. His panicked Beta smell infiltrated Tony's nose and the man almost winced.
Pitying his dear kinda-ish nephew, Tony changed the subject.
"May tells me that you have a little Omega runt in the group. I think she said orphan or something along those lines. I don't remember. Anyways, tell me about that," Tony said bluntly as he glued some papers together, not seeing anything wrong with the way he just addressed you.
Peter quickly corrected Tony with your name before firmly saying, "Uncle Stark, that's not nice. You shouldn't speak of people that way."
The boy rolled his eyes, pursing his lips into a pout. He made sure to stubbornly cross his arms for added effect, just like his uncle taught him. Tony was tempted to coo but knew it would only make the kid angrier.
"Alright, alright. My bad. I'm asking because I'm thinking of offering her to stay here. May mentioned a bit about her but I don't really know if she's a good person or not, so why not ask you?"
Peter's entire face did a flip. The Beta boy was now smiling so brightly that Tony felt like he nearly blinded himself when he looked over at him.
Peter started to excitedly bounce around in his seat before loudly speaking, "Uncle Stark, you're so generous and you've got good timing too!”
Tony grunted and snapped his fingers twice. Peter instantly brought down his volume with a guilty smile and low apology.
"It’s alright. Just remember the rules, Pup. Wait, what did you mean good timing?"
Peter sighed and looked around as if looking for listening ears, despite them being alone and on Tony's personal floor.
"Between you and me, Mr. Stark, she just got an eviction notice. Her creepy, old Beta landlord kept trying to blackmail her into moving in with him, even though he's legally documented as unfit. He eventually got frustrated with her refusal and gave her an eviction notice, saying she had to be out in thirty days because her rent was a few days late. He let her slide the few times it happened in the past, so I know he’s just being petty. I haven't told Aunt May yet," Peter said sadly.
Tony had to hold in an instinctive growl at the thought of someone harassing and taking advantage of a vulnerable Omega. He opened his mouth to say something but Peter quickly cut him off without realizing.
"Oh! To answer your original question, she is amazing. Very sweet, shy, smart, and quiet. If you did have her here, you probably wouldn't even notice or easily forget she's here," Peter said fondly, eyes lighting up slightly at the prospect of you finally having the home you deserve.
Tony nodded thoughtfully, taking in what Peter said.
"Guess it's decided then!"
A week later, and it was the night of Peter's party.
Tony stared around the penthouse floor, taking in his hard work.
There were many different kinds of blankets and pillows covering nearly all of the floors in his personal penthouse. Four different forts guarded the corners of the living room. There was a ball pit in the center of the room that Tony definitely felt was necessary for a bunch of rowdy, energetic pups. Snacks and drinks were placed everywhere for convenience while the main foods stayed in the kitchen. There were a lot of nerf guns set out on the main table and a few were placed in the forts, just in case the kids needed to burn out some more energy if the ball pit wouldn’t do the job. The ceiling had been decorated with a solar system theme.
Lastly, per Peter's request, there were different lego sets in the living space. The boy specifically requested for a 'Death Star'. Tony definitely did not mention how nerdy it was that Peter and his friends shared an immense love for lego building.
"Oh, my, goodness! Uncle Stark! This is amazing! Thank you so much," Peter had gushed the second the elevator doors opened.
Aunt May also stared in amazement at the setup.
Tony fidgeted uncomfortably at the praise but he quickly sucked it up and addressed Peter.
"You're welcome, kid. Go explore. I added some new features to the lights and decorated the curtains to match the ceiling for when you guys are ready to close 'em," Tony said, motioning to an ecstatic Peter to explore the setup.
Once Peter was thoroughly occupied with checking everything out, Tony turned to May.
The woman swiftly handed him two warm dishes. Noticing Tony's confused stare, May explained that it was a bowl of tomato soup and a couple of grilled cheese sandwiches, specifically for you, since she didn't quite trust that Tony hadn't forgotten about her request.
With a playful scoff, the man motioned to the kitchen where several pots of hot tomato soup were waiting to be plated along with weirdly expensive looking grilled cheese. (Weird because May didn’t even think grilled cheese could look expensive, and yet, here they were.)
"Yeah, we'll see which ones she likes better," May spoke teasingly once she got over her initial shock.
Tony rolled his eyes playfully and went to the connected kitchen to place the dishes down. May was standing off to the side. Tony became incredibly sheepish all of a sudden as he turned to her.
"Uh- Hey, May. I wanted to ask you something," Tony spoke, rubbing at the back of his neck.
His fingertips traced over the edges of his Arc Reactor in an attempt to self soothe. May picked up on the little tic and was instantly at his side for support.
"Go ahead, Tony,” she gently encouraged.
The man took a deep breath. He really didn't know how she was going to react but he hoped she'd be happy.
Tony whispered your name before saying, "I was thinking of having her stay here. Offer her a place to stay. What did- What do you think?"
May was silent for a long moment, genuinely in shock. She was really starting to see why Peter looked up to this man so much.
"I- won't do anything, I swear. I just- thinking of someone so young and possibly...passing away from lack of proper care when I can offer a perfect home is killing me, would kill me. Her room would be right across from Peter's and I wouldn't do anything weird. I’m also almost always in the Tower since this is where work is, so she won’t have to go far if she needs something from me," Tony started to ramble in a fit of panic when May was silent for too long.
Peter looked up from inspecting one of the forts after the smell of distressed Alpha hit his nose.
"Tony, I'm definitely not thinking anything like that. I think that's an amazing idea and super sweet of you. Talk to her tonight and see how she feels about everything. That way she can move in the second she can, if she accepts," Aunt May quickly reassured.
Tony took a deep, relieved breath.
Peter decided to go back to his exploring but not without a bright smile. The adults often forgot that he had super-hearing, so despite them sending him off in a clear attempt at privacy, he still heard everything and was delighted with the outcome.
After Peter showed May all the cool aspects of his party area, the woman left but not before giving Tony a stern warning about legal and illegal activities. Tony definitely listened.
"When are your friends coming, Pete?"
Peter looked over at a clock before responding with an ecstatic, "Now, actually!"
Right on cue, there was a buzz and Happy's voice sounded through.
"Boss, there's a group of kids here. Say they're here for Pete. Send 'em up?"
Before Tony could respond, Peter was jumping up and yelling, "Yeah! They're here for my party!"
Tony decided not to comment on the volume of his voice…this time since the kid was only excited.
"Really?! That’s great! Happy Birthday, Pete! I’ll send you my gift, either tomorrow or later this week. Boss?"
Peter softly thanked Happy before Tony gave the 'go-ahead'.
"Send 'em up, Hap."
About three minutes later, the elevator was dinging with the arrival of several energetic teenagers.
Tony watched as you, Ned, MJ, Liz, and Betty marched out of the elevator like soldiers in a line, singing something he couldn't quite hear since they were a bit far away. When he could eventually hear them, he didn't understand it but Peter did as he immediately jumped up and started singing the same lyrics. Listening closer, Tony realized that the teenagers-who-were-actually-adults-technically in front of him...were most definitely singing…Toy Story.
The six teens grabbed each other’s hands and started spinning in a circle with a very loud, yet super adorable, "You're gonna see, it's our destiny. Yeah, you got a friend in me!"
The teens cackled loudly as they let go of each other. Tony thought that was it, but next thing he knew, a pup-pile quickly formed on the floor from them tackling Peter as they all screamed, “Happy Birthday!”
"This is an eighteenth birthday we're celebrating, right?"
Most of the teens jumped slightly at Tony's voice, except Peter, of course. They scrambled off his poor, blushing nephew before they addressed the man.
"Oh! Hi, Mr. Stark," Ned said sheepishly as he waved.
Tony waved at him with a small smile.
"Peter, you didn't tell us we'd finally meet your dad," Liz said teasingly.
Tony snorted at Peter's face flushing an even deeper red.
"He- He's not my dad!"
Everyone looked at him skeptically, even Tony, because he damn sure felt like the boy's dad sometimes.
"Oh, my- whatever! Mr. Stark, these are my friends and girlfriend, MJ, who you already know, yet I am still introducing to you like an idiot," Peter said, deciding to ignore his overwhelming embarrassment and put his jazz hands out as if he was showing off some grand prize.
(To Peter, his friends and family are his most grand prizes in life.)
Tony stood and walked over, shaking each hand until he eventually got to you. He knew who you were since Peter showed him pictures of his friends and girlfriend often and since you were a more recent friend, there were no pictures of you yet.
You were...not what he was expecting.
Most teenagers give him wild, energetic puppy vibes, but you- you were giving him shy, gentle bunny vibes. He didn't like the way his instincts told him to shield you away, protect you, and offer you a carrot all at once.
"Mr- Mr. Stark?"
Your voice had his knees weak. It was so heavenly and he didn't even believe in heaven. Your stutter made it so much better too.
"Uh, yeah, yeah. Nice to meet you," Tony coughed, managing to find his composure again and shake your outstretched hand.
He felt and seen you jolt the second your hand touched his. There was definitely a shock that ran through his body but he quickly ignored it.
Stepping away from you, Tony let Peter take over the tour.
Everyone gasped as they finally took in the interior. They looked to Tony, waiting for permission to explore, which kind of surprised him. He made the 'go-ahead' motion and that was all it took.
Ned, MJ, Peter, Liz, and Betty immediately took off to different sections of the floor.
Liz jumped right into the ball pit. MJ headed for one of the forts in the back of the room. Ned ran toward the nerf guns on the table. Betty headed for some nearby snacks, and Peter just rolled around in a heap of blankets and pillows. He was definitely in a daze with all the different scents now in the Tower, Tony noted.
You, on the other hand, stayed behind.
He could feel you staring at the side of his arm and he was relieved that he decided to wear one of his t-shirts with his easy-to-move jeans, which he rarely ever did. (He didn’t know why. He looked good in them, and they kind of made him look younger.) He was also grateful that he scheduled in time for the gym earlier that day too.
When he did turn to you, he noticed the way you jumped. (Just like a bunny, Tony was happy to note.) He gave a calm smile, instantly satiating your nerves since Nervous Omega was not really an ideal smell.
He licked his lips, watching as your eyes flickered down to them before looking back up hastily. You gulped nervously, desperately pushing down the urge to squeeze your thighs together.
Despite that, he smelt it.
Smelt your slick oozing from your bunny cunt, but he sure as hell wasn’t complaining. Want to know why?
Well, because he was determined to get a taste.
