Chapter Text
Lucifer was known to be an explorer. A dreamer of sorts to say, a troublemaker according to all of his fellow heavenborn. Of course one of the things he likes to explore is indeed the creation of his heavenly Father, the Garden of Eden. He visited often to show Adam one of his new inventions for the landscape, which usually ended with one of the High Seraphim intervening and Lucifer getting scowled then basically grounded.
Here he was once again, this time he had a small duck with a top hat that could also spit fire! He’s telling you, this is going to be a breakthrough for him as an archangel that even his best friend Michael can’t deny him from helping in this project!
There where the lush foliage dances in the gentle breeze and the fragrance of blooming flowers hangs heavy in the air, something Lucifer could never get enough of. The sunlight filters through the emerald canopy, casting dappled patterns of light and shadow upon the verdant earth below. The soft murmur of a nearby stream weaves through the tranquil atmosphere, its crystal-clear waters glistening like liquid diamonds as they meander lazily through the landscape.
In the midst of this idyllic paradise sits a solitary figure, bathed in the golden glow of the sun's embrace and Lucifer immediately hides behind a tree, wary of the creation. He knew of her, not much of her name he seems to forget things very easily. She is a vision of ethereal beauty, her long, blonde hair cascading in waves down her back like strands of spun gold. Her skin, untouched by the passage of time, glows with a radiant luminosity, as if kissed by the very heavens themselves.
The girl is tall and statuesque, her nude form a testament to the purity and innocence of this sacred place. She sits upon a weathered rock, her knees drawn up to her chest, her arms wrapped around her slender frame. Tears stream down her cheeks in shimmering rivulets, their crystalline droplets reflecting the kaleidoscope of colors that dance upon the petals of nearby flowers. Lucifer immediately felt his heart drop and steered near the woman, his six wings in their smaller form as he approached her from the sky. She seemed to hear the flapping of his wings and stared up at him, her eyes were red from her endless tears and her lashes were glossy, reflecting in the beams of sunlight.
Lucifer takes her hands into his, her hands were bigger in comparison and felt like silk against his own. He looks up at her, mirroring her sorrowful expression, “What is it that troubles you? Is the garden not up to your liking?”
The woman hiccups before rolling her eyes and hugging her knees to her chest. “Of course that’s what all you angels care about, this perfect seamless garden.”
She pulls her hands away from his and wraps herself back into a ball. Immediately the archangel frowns and puts a hand on her knee, making the girl peak up from her bare knees. “I understand what you mean, the angels can be incredibly crude sometimes.”
Lilith just peers at him before turning away with small sniffles but Lucifer doesn’t take this as a form to tell him to leave. So the six winged angel sits next to her, the rock was hurting whatever skeleton he had but it was alright. He looked up at the endless blue sky, small clouds floating around the sun and he could what the ravenous hums and chirps from the nearby animals.
“I have always had big dreams,” Lucifer starts and digs in his robe a small duck that had three wings and when it quacked, it spit fire out. Lilith peeks over at the duck and Lucifer continues. “Michael always seems to love anything and everything I do, same with Adam, Sera always calls me a troublemaker.”
“Sometimes I wonder if I was made wrong. Like I’m not supposed to be Lucifer the happy go lucky troublemaker that everyone adores. Adam doesn’t see a problem with it but sometimes I just.. I wonder you know? What if they’re wrong? What if I’m wrong?”
Lilith seems interested in what he’s saying, inching closer over her shoulder and he shakes his head. Such thoughts as these were forbidden, he’d be casted out, or even reprimanded. Heaven's order is right.
The blonde smiles and grabs the small bird in both of his hands, moving it towards Lilith who watches his acts in suspicion. “Like this! Heaven is delusional if they think this won’t be a hit in Eden!”
Lilith giggles and takes the duck, that does a backflip in her hands before quacking. She chuckles and pushes a hair behind her ear, “I haven’t met an angel like you. What’s your name?”
“Lucifer, the one and only light bringer. What’s yours?” Lucifer adds with pizazz, making a false rainbow in his hands. Lilith blinks in surprise before leaning closer, batting her eyelashes. “You’re Lucifer?”
“The one and only!” The archangel declares, jumping on his rock and waves his hands in the air. Lilith hums, “Adam never mentioned how… charming you are.”
“I’ll take that as a compliment Miss..?” Lucifer sits back down and leans closer to her. She laughs in response and takes a hand out, “Lilith. Lilith Magne.”
“Nice to meet you, Miss Lilith!” He kisses her knuckles before pushing her up and she jumps in shock. Her ribcage collides with his chest as he smiles at her from below her breasts, “Want to take a flight? Adam is waiting for me!”
“A flight?” She inquires as she touches his feathers, making a shudder and a blush emit from Lucifer. Interesting as she does it once more and Lucifer laughs nervously, “Yeah, come on!”
His wings expand in their full glory, a baby blue color sparkling against the under feathers that makes Lilith gasp at them. She feels her body ascend in the air as she tightly grasps his neck. He only chuckles before flapping his wings forward where Lilith could really take it in on how beautiful her home was. Towering trees stretch their branches towards the heavens, their leaves shimmering with shades of green so vibrant they seem almost unreal. Exotic flowers bloom in a riot of colors, their delicate petals unfurling like the wings of butterflies in flight. Birds of every hue and size flit through the air, their melodious songs filling the garden with a symphony of sound.
Lucifer seemed to notice her look of awe as he stretched across the horizon to see a crystalline lake that Flumenal made specifically for him since Lucifer always gushes about the Garden of Eden. The blonde smiles and heads straight for the reflective water which makes Lilith hold tighter to him as she reaches her hand down to the water. The water runs cool on her fingertips as she sees the fish swim among her fingertips and even some dolphins jump in the upcoming sunset.
Lucifer turns onto his back where his wings are gliding above the water in a rapid speed while Lilith is faced towards the now red and yellow sky. She turns her head towards the view and gasps, the red was like liquid on her fingertips and she could see the water sparkle in the reflection. Lucifer abruptly flies higher in the sky before tossing her up in the air, making her shout in surprise. Right as she’s falling near the water, two hands grab her own.
She turns her head upward to see a grinning Lucifer who then looks forward, making Lilith copy his movement. The blonde could only stare in awe at the beautiful reflection of the world around her, taking in the scenery and serving it permanently in her memory. She feels Lucifer flap forward the horizon and Lilith starts to kick forward her legs against the water, creating multiple splashes. The air was in her long blonde locks and the air was finally nothing of a lukewarm feeling but one of a chill that she could even shiver. Something she’s never done before. A new experience.
An experience of freedom .
She laughs at the bubbling freedom and jumps on top of Lucifer, holding onto his neck again as he flaps his large wings upwards into the sky, so far above that Lilith could touch the clouds. Lilith's skin relishes in the heat of the sun and the upcoming feeling of night, yet despite this taste of freedom she could only stare up at the arms of the man holding her. His blue eyes were glimmering in the sun and his smile was one of pure glee.
She felt her face flushing as she leaned her head against his neck, a signal to take her down and he did, no questions asked. He gently goes to the sand of the lake and sets her down gently. Her feet relish in the feeling of a soft mushy cushion and yet she doesn’t let go of Lucifer, even as he takes his own seating.
“Thank you,” Lilith whispers softly, her eyes didn’t once move from the opening skyline and neither did Lucifers. She leans her head against his smaller one, taking in the pure scent of cinnamon of his smaller form.
“You looked like you needed it,” He only says and the two finally meet each other's eyes. There’s a moment of silence, Lilith's obsidian eyes reflecting off his sapphires.
“Alright cut it out, lovebirds,” A masculine voice interrupts their small moment, making Lilith groan and turn around to see her dear husband. He was biting into a soft peach and he seemed particularly irritated. His gaze wasn’t directed at Lilith but at Lucifer and her husband stomps over. Adam puts an arm around her shoulders, making the woman snarl and Lucifer look up unimpressed at the act of dominance.
“This is my wife!” Adam objects and waves his hands around between them. ‘So stop whatever you two are doing!”
“We weren’t doing anything,” Lucifer sassily objects, crossing his arms and poking a hip out. Lilith smiles in amusement at the display and Adam stomps his foot, peering down to Lucifer. Lilith didn’t notice how the tan man towered Lucifer in height, actually, they both towered him in height! Lucifer leans closer, on the tip of his toes that even his robe lifts to see his small bare feet.
“You guys so were! I watched you two,” Adam refutes as he neared Lucifer's face. “You were supposed to hang out with me today! I learned how to swing on the vines… for you.”
The “for you” was in a soft whisper that Lilith didn’t catch as she slipped under his arm but she could see a soft look in the archangels eyes and she didn’t like that. Why was Lucifer looking at him like that? Lilith pushes the two apart, accidentally making Lucifer fall over in the process. She sets her hands on her hips, “I belong to no one .”
“Woah,” Lucifer admires in awe as Lilith looks back over at him with a smile, holding a hand out for the little angel to take.
“But that’s not what Miss Jophiel said!” Adam retorts as he crosses his arms, turning his head in a tantrum manner and peeking one eye open but Lilith paid no attention. Instead she was smiling at the personified beam of light in front of her. Lucifer slowly rips his gaze from her and walks towards Adam, putting a delicate hand on his arm.
“Sorry I ditched you today, but we can make it up now right? You always loved counting the stars,” Lucifer informs, Lilith felt a burning feeling she never experienced before. One that felt rightfully wrong and she twisted her fists before the small guy looks back at her. “All three of us, no need to bother ourselves with this political mumbo jumbo.”
“But aren’t you a prince?” Adam questions as he slinks an arm around the smaller male. Lilith jogs over to catch up and takes the angel's smaller hand in hers.
“A prince?” Lilith perks up at the unknown word and Lucifer shoots Adam a glare, who just shrugs nonchalantly. “This is why I’m in charge of you Lilith, I’m smarter!”
“Could’ve fooled me,” Lilith rolls her eyes before giving the delightful boy's hand a squeeze, making his innocent eyes peer up to hers. “What’s a prince?”
“Ugh,” Lucifer groans as Adam jumps over a tree trunk and turns over to catch Lucifer who usually trips over such. Instead Lucifer flapped over carefully and offered a hand to Lilith, who chuckled at his sentiment. She carefully steps over and glances at a raging Adam, the sight made her feel delight that could rival seeing the sunset for the first time.
“You know I can handle myself,” Lilith gently says, her eyes half opened as she stared down at the smaller. Lucifer gives a toothy grin, “I know! Just you’re new, so I thought I’d show you the ropes!”
Lilith puts a hand on her hip and raises an eyebrow. “Oh really?”
Lucifer nods rapidly. “Really.”
“What a gentleman,” She says, partially sarcastic and Lucifer picks up on the joke, chuckling softly. Lilith sees her husband stomp over, “Still here!”
“Oh right!” Lucifer perks up, leaving Liliths side once again and the blonde feels incomplete. He goes over to Adam and clings to his arm, “So the stars!”
Night danced along the trees and a blue glow emits from the sky, a darkening blue that reminded Lilith of the lonesome nights she’d have away from Adam. She hated sleeping with him, he rolled and fussed so much she couldn’t even shut her eyes properly. She continues to walk side by side with the two other males.
“While you two were out and about writing your own love stories,” Adam fusses, something that earns an eye roll and an amused smile from Lucifer. Lilith just ignores the comment as her husband continues. “I found the perfect field to see the stars!”
“Did you now?” Lilith retorts, she hated being out of the loop. What’re stars? Why didn’t she know and yet Adam did? It wasn’t fair.
Adam sneers at her, which makes Lucifer gently nudge Adam and Lilith relishes in the small victory. The three trudge against the tree roots and small animals, Lucifer kept hugging koalas and they’d have to drag him away to get back on track. He didn’t have the greatest attention span and Lilith found this.. cute.
Adam moves a tree branch before gleaming, jumping over a tree root. “Here! Here it is!”
When he lets go, Lilith pulls Lucifer away from the potential whack, though such a thing just felt like touching to her. She wasn’t sure how it would affect angels and Lucifer seemed to be very clumsy. Lucifer smiles at her, “I appreciate the concern but that wouldn’t hurt me.”
“Hurt?” Lilith tilts her head in confusion as Lucifer climbs over the tree root, holding a hand to her. She grabs the offering hand and he pulls her up with one arm, colliding with his chest and they both flush. Lucifer pulls away from her, a deepening red across his features and she felt her own face turning a light pink. Both of them watch Adams nude form barrel roll down the grassy hill with a boisterous laugh. This makes Lilith give a crooked smile and Lucifer chuckles to himself.
Lilith this time offers her hand over to Lucifer, who hesitantly takes it and she slides down the wet grass. This makes Lucifer panic and she turns to see his wide eyes, making her laugh. Actually laugh. Not just a small smile or giggle she did with Adam. She felt a genuine, from her gut, laugh that she’s never felt in her lifetime. Lucifer gleams at this, laughing along with her until they end up at the bottom of the hill.
During their laughter, Adam runs over to the two and grabs their hands. Lilith looks at Adam in confusion and slight disgust while Lucifer bemusedly smiles. Adam plops on the ground, Lucifer lays next to him and Lilith lays on the other side of Adam. She then looks up and her world is soonly captivated. She gasps in delight at the multiple small lights in the sky, so close she could touch them. She outstretched a hand towards them and closed it into a fist, pulling it down yet she found nothing.
She tilts her head in confusion and sits abruptly up, making the two others look at her in pure confusion. However she pays no head to them and clasps her hands over the beaming light. She makes a small crack in her closed fists yet there was nothing there. She stands up and immediately jumps to grab them yet they kept escaping her grasp.
Lilith stands there dumbfounded and Lucifer is now next to her, shaking his head. “You can’t grab stars silly.”
“Stars? Hurt? Prince?’ She repeats all of the unfamiliar terms and turns over to Lucifer, grabbing his shoulders. “Why don’t I know anything? Why is everything I know deemed what Adam wants me to know?”
Lucifer looks up at her in perplexity, she searches his eyes for answers yet she could find none. All that reflected from his eyes were Liliths own emotions, emotions she didn’t know, everything was so foreign, too foreign. Adam walks over and puts a finger in his ear, “What’s the big deal now?”
“You wouldn’t know,” Lilith seethes. “You get everything you want on a silver platter!”
“Maybe the angels like me better than you!” Adam argues back and Lilith stomps forward, challenging his authority. The garden seemed to of went quiet, like time stopped moving besides the moment for the trio.
“But why? It’s not fair,” Lilith refutes as she turns to Lucifer, her obsidian eyes fogged with soon to be tears. “Why Lucy?”
“I,” Lucifer's voice cracks as he takes one step back and immediately there’s a flash of light next to them. Lilith turns her head towards the light, her eyes filled with a clouding emotion that she didn’t know. Next to Lucifer was a towering man, one that even towered Lilith and Adam.
“That’s enough,” The man says, his voice tuned with authority and Lucifer immediately dips his head to the ground. Lilith turns her face towards Adam who was doing the same, looking over to the side, no doubt fuming over the same argument. The man turns over to her, he had long brunette hair that laid wistfully over his shoulder in an unfamiliar hairstyle.
“Miss Magne,” The man's voice rings throughout Eden and Lilith gulps, the feeling inside of her was something unknown to her. Another foreign thing she was so emotional about and she couldn’t understand why.
“You are acting like an immature child,” He says, nothing but contempt in his eyes. “You are to listen to your husband, not challenge him. You owe yourself to him.”
She looked over to Lucifer, tears ringing throughout her eyes. Lucifer's eyes were reflecting an emotion that scared her, she felt absolutely powerless. She bites her lip before bowing her head. “I’m sorry.”
“I do not need your apologies,” He echoes and gestures to Adam. “Your husband awaits your apologies.”
Lilith felt a boiling heat inside her abdomen and looked over to her husband, who only seemed prideful in the fact that he was right.
“I’m sorry,” She spits out like the words were fire and she looks back at Lucifer. She didn’t want him to see her in such a helpless state.
So she ran as far as she could.
Lilith didn’t return to her husband for three days, at least that is what Jophiel told her, she was too busy playing with Lucifer's new duck. She thought it was nice, it brought her comfort that she didn’t feel anywhere else besides the lake. She often lounged around the lake, hoping for Lucifer's arrival as she hadn’t seen him. Did he not want to see her?
There as she finally got up from the sand was the object of her thoughts, the pale smiling man, the circles on his cheek a pretty red. She was overly excited at his arrival but she felt herself shrink back, thinking of the incident. She sits back down and hugs her legs towards her chest again.
Lucifer sits next to her and leans his head against hers, yet his eyes stayed on the sun dipping the horizon. “You know, this reminds me of when we first met. Not the first time Adam caused a problem huh?”
Lilith doesn’t respond and instead keeps her eyes on the sea of wander in front of her. She didn’t want to visit the past and she felt a hand on her shoulder. “I’m sorry that you’re going through this.”
“No you’re not,” Lilith says quietly. “You’re a being of light, what would you know?”
“I know that this isn’t… right,” Lucifer waves his hands around. “You shouldn’t owe your life to Adam, it’s-it’s wrong.”
Lilith turns her head slowly at his words and he shakes his head. “I know how you feel, nobody ever listens, heaven never listens.”
He continues sprouting on, “I want to help you Lilith. So let’s start small, umm, I’m a prince! A prince is someone who’s super powerful from a kingdom, a kingdom is ruled by a king with lots of people under him, in this case the king is our Father and the people are Angels. I’m Gods favorite creation so I was given the title as prince.”
Lilith nods, taking in the knowledge and encourages him to continue.
“Stars are, well,” He points towards the hot ball of light against the water and Lilith looks over at it. “That’s a star, it’s called a sun. My buddy Asmodel made it to keep you guys warm and he ended up going overboard with a gazillion of them in the skies! That’s why you can’t touch them.”
“What is hurt?’ Lilith asks, thirsty for knowledge and Lucifer bites his lip. “You’re not supposed to know that, not even Adam knows.”
Lilith huffs again, turning her face away from him. “Of course not, because I am to be the bride of Adam! That’s all I’m known for.”
“No!” Lucifer immediately objects and softly grabs her chin, turning it to the sun. “You shine just as brightly as the sun.”
He turns her chin back to him and grabs her hands, lifting her up and she looks down at him. He grabs one of the red flowers, a red carnation, placing it behind her ear and cups her cheek. “You’re Lilith Magne! The smartest, most beautiful of them all.”
His words were sweet like a honey drizzle and Lilith leaned into his small hand, putting her own over the slender fingers and giving him a sorrowed smile. “You mean it? I’m not just some.. baby machine?”
“I’d flip the Heavens upside down for anyone who called you such a thing,” Lucifer answers her and Lilith gives a heavenly sigh, looking down at the angel's soft lips. She takes a surge forward, interlocking her own lips with his. The angel seemed surprised by the motion and made no movement, causing her to fall back and look away in guilt. “I’m sorry, I- I didn’t know you didn’t-”
“What was that?” When Lilith looked back, Lucifer had stars in his eyes as his two fingers trace his lips. “That felt… good. What was that?”
She gives a lopsided smile, “A kiss. Adam and I named it that.”
“You and Adam have kissed?” Lucifer asks, leaning against her and she nods. “When we feel this.. this emotion we just kiss. I don’t know why but it.. it just feels right.”
“You guys created something,” Lucifer whispers and flutters his eyelashes towards her. “Can we do that again? I like how it makes me feel.”
Lilith smiles and presses her lips against his, cupping his face as he returns the gesture. Their lips mingled with one another in the sunlight, eventually where Lilith is on top of him, smothering his lips with pecks. Once she lets go to gain air in her lungs, Lucifer presses multiple kisses against her face. Her cheeks, her lower lip, her nose, the edge of her eyes and all over her forehead. She laughs boisterously as Lucifer grabs her waist and rolls her over, smothering her in small kisses.
He stops in his kisses to grin down at her and she reflects his grin. He falls next to her, laying in the sand and staring at the sun. “I can’t believe you guys created something. Humans created something!”
Lilith puts her hands on her stomach, crossing her wrists and turning her face to look at the small angel. “What’s so surprising about that?”
Lucifer sits up and heaves a sigh, resting his elbows against his knees and his chin in his palms. “T’s just.. only Father can create things with the exception of me. But for Father, it’s like a snap of his fingers. You guys made something with your feelings based on emotion, not necessity.”
“So?”
“So that’s incredible! I thought I was the only one who could create because.. because of how I feel! Yet you humans that were an experiment can too,” Lucifer gushes. “You guys are imperfect, just like me.”
“Being perfect sounds tiring,” Lilith admonishes with a shake of her head. “What’s the use of being perfect if there’s no freedom?”
Lucifer nods in agreement. “That’s what I told Heaven but of course I’m just ‘causing up trouble like usual’!” He uses false quotation marks with his fingers before deflating back on the sand.
“Here in the garden I feel… free,” Lucifer whispers in the last part but Lilith caught it. She smiles at him and leans forward, her thumb across his lips. “You make me feel free.”
Lucifer's eyes gloss at the indication as they both lean into each other, their kiss more freeing and passionate than before. Their bodies mingle as Lucifer opens his lips and Lilith slithers her tongue inside. Lucifer responds in an ungodly sound that makes Liliths stomach stir in excitement and Lucifer flush in embarrassment. She pulls away with a giggle, “What was that?”
“I-I don’t know! It just came out,” He was tense and Lilith put a hand on his shoulder, giving the muscle a comforting squeeze. “Can I hear that more? I like it.”
Lucifer slowly nods as their lips tangle once again, Lilith feeling every curve of the inside of the beloved angel's mouth. It tasted like a fruit, sweet and juicy, a fruit she’s never tasted. She felt Lucifer's own tongue dance along hers before she pulled away and pressed small kisses on his jawline.
“Adam always likes it when I do this.”
“I can understand why,” Lucifer whimpers out as Lilith begins to peel his clothes off. He had small budding breasts like hers and a vagina just like hers however not like Adam. She looks at his genitals in confusion and back at him. “You’re a girl?”
Lucifer shakes his head. “No, us angels have both genitals but Adam likes me in this form more when we go swimming together.”
Lilith hums and looks up, “What form do you prefer?”
“Whatever pleases you,” Lucifer responds and Lilith shrugs her shoulders. “Just lose the breasts, I don’t really mind the others.”
Lucifer does so with a snap and Lilith grins, she felt tempted to explore his body and she gives into such an act. She presses kisses against his torso as she guides his hands to fondle her breasts, something she enjoyed Adam doing in their more intimate moments. Lucifer does as she says, making small hums of pleasure as Lilith gets to Lucifer's vaginal area. He had no hair unlike Lilith and she seemed to admire such a pretty view. Unlike her genitalia, his was a bright and pure pink. She flicks her tongue against his clitoris, something Adam did to her. Lucifer responds in a whimper and continues her exploration. She sucks idly on the clit before using her fingers to rub his slick onto them.
She looks up at him through her blonde eyelashes, he seemed to be sweating and blushing profusely. “Is this okay?”
Adam usually didn’t ask her but she would usually hit him if she started feeling an unwelcome feeling instead of pleasure, that’s why his penis has never been fully inside her vagina. She distasted the feeling of a penis inside her so she usually stuck to sucking Adams dick and fingers inside her. Lucifer begrudgingly nods and Lilith sticks a singular finger inside of him, starting nice and slow. She felt the warmth inside and electric shocks were going down her spine at the pleasured expression her angel had. He seemed to be taking the assault well, his hole tightening around her that he even started to move against her one finger.
She smirks up at him, “Want a second?”
Lucifer whimpers with a nod, hearts practically glowing in his eyes. She inserts a second finger and a choked gasp escapes his mouth. Before she begins her steady thrusts, she questions, “Are you alright Luci?”
“I- I’m okay, Lilypad,” He moans out and she takes his words before gently thrusting her fingers into him at a slow pace. She felt his body mold around her fingers and she could only relish in the feeling so, in her own selfishness, she picks up the pace and Lucifer's moans are choked out until she sees his toes squeezing and she feels rushing liquid against her fingers. Lucifer was shaking like a leaf and she slowly pulled her fingers out, licking his climax on her fingers. It tasted like a fuzzy drink and it made her head swirl in delight and she wheezes, her head now dizzy from the taste. She falls against the sand and Lucifer grabs her before rushing his cloak back on.
“Lilypad! Are you alright?”
She leans against his touch before eventually pulling herself up, “yeah. I don’t know what came over me.”
“It’s okay, Adam gets dizzy spells like that too,” Lucifer comforts and Lilith pulls away from his touch. Her face distorts into confusion. “You do this with Adam?”
“Well not what we just did, he usually likes putting his genitals into my own,” Lucifer offers an explanation. “He’s more rough while you’re more gentle. I like that.”
Lilith huffs at the explanation before leaning her head against his. “I love you.”
Lucifer's eyes sparkle, “Really?”
“Really.”
“I love you too, Lilith.”
They stayed in the sand as the waves clashed against one another, their new experience running through both of their minds in comforting silence.
“Lucy I can’t believe you let Lilith touch you,” Adam crosses his arms. “I thought we were special!”
“Oh hush up, Adam,” Lilith rolls her eyes as she gathers berries into her hands. “It’s not like we’re unmarried.”
“I wouldn’t be so sure about that,” A lighter yet rougher voice than Lucifer's rings out and the three look over. Lucifer was holding a platypus in his arms, while Adam was stuffing a peeled orange in his mouth and Lilith was holding berries. In a flash of a second stood another angel, one that matched Adams height and seemed unimpressed.
“Friend Uriel!” Lucifer gasps in enlightenment, flying towards the other angel with a frightened platypus in his hands. “Look at what I made! I shall call him Perry.”
“Perry?” The brunette cocks his head in amusement, a small smile playing on his lips. Lucifers nods rapidly, “I shall call him Perry the Platypus! The very first of his kind.”
Uriel ruffles Lucifer's hair before focusing his gaze on the first woman, a glare in his eyes that Lilith matched him with. He had long flowing brown hair with small -which she now knows is called- braids and he wore a long blue cloak with a bright eye in the middle.
“For you however Miss Lilith, you are now an unwelcome woman to these two.”
“On what grounds?” Lilith reciprocates the disgust in his tone, going eye to eye with the powerful angel.
“Adultery,” He simply responds. “Fourteen days ago you resulted in an act with someone other than your husband which automatically nulls your wedding to one another. By the kindness and generosity of our heavenly Father, you are welcomed to stay here in Eden while Adam gets a new wife.”
Uriel then looks over to Lucifer, whose face seemed to reach the same conclusion as Lilith. “Father is not pleased with your mistake Lucifer. You are lucky to step foot into Eden, do not interfere with human lives and do your job. ”
Lucifer gulps and nods while a portal opens with a giant hand coming out. The Hand of God, Lilith realizes, all of the stories Adam told from his creation were true. She watched in amazement as God took a rib cage from Adam's left side and created from the bottom a new woman. A woman with curly reddish brown hair and even darker brown skin, dots sparkling across her skin and her eyes the color of the grass fields. She was breathtaking and it seemed everyone else had a similar realization.
She opens her eyes, blinking a few times before the portal closes and she’s left with two confused humans and a shocked angel. She gives them a lopsided smile, clasping her hands in front of her stomach. “Hi, I’m Eve. Adam's second wife.”
“Oh yeah! I got two!” Adam whoops and Eve winces at his loud voice. Lucifer zooms forward to her, a reaction that leaves a bad taste in Liliths mouth, as he clasps her hands. “Hello Eve! I’m Lucifer, the archangel of Light and Joy! This here is Lilith, Adam's old wife and well, Adam, your new husband.”
Eve grins at his excitement, her own timid smile reflecting his thrilled smile. “It’s heavenly to meet you guys. I wasn’t aware Adam had another wife.”
“ Old wife,” Lilith emphasizes, feeling the shackles of her imprisonment to the Heavenly Court and Adam break free. She didn’t like how happy Lucifer was to see Adam's new wife, would he take her to their own beach? Would he ask Flumenal to make another beach just for her? No, Lucifer loves her and she loves him. She was okay with Adam and Lucifer also loving each other but what Lilith and the angel had was something more special than that. A different and new meaning of love.
Eve immediately backs down that it makes Lilith tilt her head in confusion and Lucifer seemed to be thinking the same thing if she was judging his glance at her. She was so conforming, so obedient. Like she didn’t have a single thought of her own, a single desire.
Lilith and Lucifer found themselves on the tree trunk of the Tree of Knowledge, whereas the forbidden apples hung. The apples were forbidden to taste and Lilith asked the angel to meet her there after hours. Since Lilith is no longer under their radar, surely they wouldn’t be watching the two here. Lucifer was next to her, obviously nervous being in such an area where the very thing that could break the foundation of Heaven was. He turns towards her, “This is a frightening way of romancing me.”
“I do not wish to,” Lilith says before booping his nose. “At least not here.”
She glances up at the apples and that’s all it takes for Lucifer to understand her true meaning of meeting up. The two always communicated with their eyes, they knew each other like they knew the landscape of Eden. Lucifer jumps away from her. “But that is forbidden Lilith! What if you’re caught? You could be banished from Eden or worse, perished from life.”
“We, my love,” Lilith answers his panic session as she picks an apple off of one of the tree branches. The literal embodiment of temptation in her hands and Lucifer was once again shivering like a leaf. “God is not a merciful man Lilith, he will have our heads.”
“If he ever finds out,” Lilith chatises before taking a bite. An instant throb hits her forehead and her head is thrown back, her eyes glowing and a trickle of blood falling from her bottom lip. Lucifer shakes in panic as knowledge about who she is, how she was created and the Heavens erupted her brain process. She falls back onto the ground and she feels a prickle of pain. Pain? When did she ever.. When could she ever feel such a thing? Why did she know such a word? And it’s meaning perfectly?
She looks back at the apple and takes more ravenous bites, like a man on the brink of starvation. The taste was eliciting and it was too familiar. The taste was one of temptation, one of sin and it excited her to her core. She knew this taste and her grey eyes cloud to the shocked angel in front of her, it tasted like Lucifer.
He was temptation. He was sin.
He was freedom.
She picks another apple and shoves the fruit into Lucifer's lap, “Eat it.”
“Lilith this isn’t a good idea,” Lucifer lays down seriously. “This- this is a specific treason of Heaven!”
“Aren’t you tired of all their rules,” Lilith objects and causes her beloved to hesitate in his argument. “Of having no will, to live for the angels' entertainment and experience? Don’t you want to be free?”
Once again Lucifer is silent, staring at the crimson apple laying in his lap. “Don’t you hate being left out? Out of the loop?”
She watches him hesitantly bring the apple to his lips and he looks back at her. She nods in encouragement and she sees him take a small bite of the apple. He places a hand on his chest, his breathing becoming uneven but instead of helping him, she lets him live through the agony. The agony of free will.
He falls to his knees and proceeds to finish the apple completely, the juices of the fruit falling down his lips. “I can’t believe they would do that.”
“They’re evil beings,” Lilith protests as Lucifer grabs his hair. “They made Eve to just, lay down and let Adam control her? To be beneath him instead of on equal footing?”
“It’s wrong,” Liliths words ring through Lucifers ears like a siren singing a song. He shakes his head as he hyperventilates. “How could Father- how could Michael say okay to this? This- this is wrong! This goes against everything we stand for!”
“And Eve has no idea.” He finishes and Lilith plucks an apple. “We need to tell her.”
“Have Eve eat the apple? That’s treason against Heaven Lilith,” Lucifer immediately shoots down the idea. “That’s like asking for a full blown war!”
“What’s stopping us Luci?” Lilith retorts and grabs his hands, pulling them to her breasts. Ones that she realized she needs to cover up. “Where is the justice Luci? For all the victims? We both saw how Heaven is using the Angels, like your friends Asmodel and Flumenal!”
“They are my family, Lilith,” Lucifer responds weakly, he was breaking and she just needed to push. “Your family made Eve into a slave for a man, to simply reproduce. They will never listen to you Lucifer so why not take it into your own hands?”
There’s a long pause of silence and burning tears down Lucifer's face. “You’re right.”
She smiles as she helps him stand, his gaze now filled with overwhelming determination. “This is wrong, no matter the circumstances. Meet me back here in a week, I’ll try talking to the Council and the others to see if we can convince them. If not, I’ll.. go against Heaven.”
“ We ,” Lilith emphasizes again as he strokes his cheek, wiping his tears with her thumb. “This is wrong, my love.”
“I know.”
Lucifer pulls away from her and more determined than she has seen him before, flies away from the forbidden tree.
A week passes by and at the tree laid a weeping Eve. She was exhausted from Adams' needs yet she compiled every time, even if she did not wish to. Is this how she will live her life? Bare her husband's children and always be beneath him? She wishes she could be like Lilith and Lucifer. Running absolutely wild, free in the trees with no worries of Heaven's expectations, no worries from their Heavenly Father.
Lilith was there next to her, rubbing her weeping back and biting her lip. What would Heaven's decision be? Would they give Eve and Adam free will or will they need to go to War? As much as Lilith likes the peaceful solution, she is repulsed by Heaven. She hates them. They think they’re so righteous when their intentions were to use them like slaves to their own thrill. How could Lucifer be derived from such hypocritical species? Actually, why was Lucifer different from the rest? Was he a defect? If so, why did he feel and taste like temptation itself? Her thoughts of her lover were quickly erased when she sees a snake slithering on the ground and appearing as Lucifer's true form. He seemed guilt ridden and Lilith already knew the answer from Heaven, yet she couldn’t resist the glee in her eyes. Eve’s hiccuping stops as she looks at Lucifer, immediately melting most of her sorrow away. “Lucy bird!”
Her smile quickly falls as she sees his frown grow thick before grabbing the apple from the tree. She gasps in his action and inches away yet Lilith holds onto her to stay in place. Her blood shot eyes look at her in terror. “Lilith what’re you doing? We have to run, he has the forbidden fruit! God will punish us.”
“Just hear him out,” Lilith only responds and that’s enough to stop the trembles of the second woman. Lucifer leans closer to her, holding the apple in his small hands. “As you know, this is the fruit of knowledge. This is the fruit of free will that will break you from Adam and Gods binds on you.”
Eve's tear ridden eyes immediately shoot up at this and she grabs the apple, the glow making her hair glow. Lilith was mirroring her own grin, one of malice. Lucifer puts his hands on the apple before Eve could take a bite. “I want to warn you though, biting this is declaring war on Heaven. On everything you’ve ever known. Are you ready for that?”
Lilith knew her beloved was asking himself that and Eve took a deep breath. “I’m ready.”
Lucifer reluctantly removes his hands and Eve takes a huge bite of the apple, eagerly devouring the fruit as her body begins to envelope in a black darkness. The darkness stretches against the Garden which leads a terrified Adam running over to them in shock and betrayal. “You.”
Yet his eyes were only on that of Lucifer, who bites his lip yet keeps his composure. A beam of light is put on Lilith, Adam and Lucifer sending them upwards immediately. Lucifer grabs onto Lilith's hand in encouragement as they soar upwards and immediately they arrive in a courtroom. A courtroom with panicking angels and an uproar of anxiety inside and by the look of Lucifer, this has never happened before.
In a large pearl in the front of the room was Eve, except she was unrecognizable. She was being distorted with darkness and she had glowing crimson eyes and teeth. Lilith felt instant regret though she did not regret her decision. If Eve wishes to become a being of Chaos and not Adam's wife, she has an absolute right to.
In front of them was a tall man with ethereal beauty, second only to Lucifer. He had pearl eyes with long blonde hair and bared a sword on his hip. He was angered and more of all, betrayed, by the expression he was giving Lucifer. At the top of the room was a pure white figure with a top hat and multiple eyes on the sides of their face that Lilith immediately knew who it was.
It was her creator.
Her God.
Their gazes were matched yet Lilith did not go on her knees, she did not yield. Instead, she grabbed her lover's trembling hand and stood their ground. Adam was the only one on his knees and he looked at them in bewilderment. “What is wrong with you two? You’re going to get us punished!”
Adam is grabbed by one of the angels and taken upward on the shelves next to the other angels, which Lilith could only stare in curiosity. They were more terrifying than they had been in her memories yet she felt an absence of fear. In that waking absence was a feeling of pride and of strife, she won’t ever back down to the likes of them.
“I see you are unforgiving of what you did, Lilith,” God's voice blares through the room, shaking Lilith to her core and she could see it was having a similar effect on everyone beside her, even the Angels.
“You have brought darkness in this world,” God declares and squints his multiple eyes at her. “Is there anything you wish to say for your crime?”
“Yeah,” Lilith steps forward, letting go of her lover's hand and she glares at the being of creation with pure hatred. “I want war. ”
There’s a series of gasps around the room and even the man with the sword steps forward. “You wish to go to War against us? The ones who made you everything you are?!”
“More than anything,” Lilith trails and stomps her foot. “I ate the apple of knowledge and I know of your pathetic system. You all are beneath me for trying to control me. I demand justice and I will rightfully earn it.”
She grabs the angel's chin. “By watching every. Single. One. Of. You. Fall.”
The blonde lets go and goes back to her rightful place, by her husband's side. “We declare war.”
“We?” This seemed to touch a nerve with the blonde one as he looked over to Lucifer. “Lucy, you don’t mean to go to war with us. You have the power to stop this darkness, this temptation .”
Before he could respond, multiple other angels stood in a defensive circle around them. “We know of the true Heaven system and we are through with it. We agree with Lilith and Lucifer, we are willing to go to War with you if that’s what it takes.”
Yet the archangel before them ignores the other angels and just kept his eyes on Lucifer, who huffs. “If you guys had listened-”
“Why would we listen to your impudent words after this- this-”
“Michael, I’m-”
“Silence!” God rises and he looks at Lucifer, his mouth quivering before turning his back. “Michael, Gabriel, Samuel, Uriel, Raphael, Zadkiel and Jophiel. Strike all of them down with the intention of Death.”
Michael immediately turns to his supreme ruler with shock. “But Father, Lucifer didn’t know any better! You made him just in case this-”
“Enough!” God yells, his back still turned to the court. Shackles appear on all of them and God is in front of them in an instant, yet he is looking at his Son, not the first woman.
“Do you regret what you did?”
There’s a long pause and Lucifer seethes at his Father. “No.”
“If you just apologize now-”
“No!” Lucifer yells.
God frowns and grabs Lilith by the chain of her shackles. “She has tempted you into going against me, she is the damnation. Kill her, Michael. Kill the other angels and Lucifer will be pardoned and isolated to keep more of his mistakes from ruining our beloved Earth while I fix the Evil in our world.”
God walks up the staircase and there's a static and screeching in the air as he pulls his hands up and pushes down, clearly in pain of the work. In the sphere was Eve, drawing in the darkness and a new home being made. A home of pure red and small living beings rising from the darkness. Ones with unruly horns and those that reflect the appearance of wolves.
Michael brings a blade to Lilith's chest and she squeezes her eyes shut. Though she only felt a small piece of the blade and when she opened her eyes, there was a shielding Lucifer in front of her, the metal of holy light through his heart and through her ribcage. Michael immediately pulls back, the glow of gold and red reflecting off of his blade as the other angels are given the same treatment.
“Lucifer,” Michael chokes out in emotion, the rawest emotion of an angel Lilith has ever seen. It was one of instant regret and sorrow, sorrow of hurting Lucifer.
“If you kill her, you kill me,” Lucifer gasps out, holding the bleeding wound with his hand and looking up at his Father. “And I do not go down so easily.”
In an instant, multiple spears were through the other angels, shock going across the room. His power is so frightening that hellish horns bloom from his forehead and Lilith seethes in pain. Her forehead was throbbing, a splitting headache as her own began to sprout. Two curved black horns across her forehead and she looks up to see Michael pulling Lucifer's halo. There was a push and pull, one where tears were streaming down Michael's eyes yet his expression was still as cold as ice. Lucifer screamed in agony as Lilith runs over to catch him and Michael points a sword towards the couple.
“You two will be locked down in that of Sin and keep it locked away for your crimes,” Michael orders, his voice firm yet hoarse with an ounce of sadness. “For the rest of eternity.”
Immediately they’re pushed out of the sky at rocketing speed and she feels herself in the soft embrace of Lucifer's wings around her, now tainted with red and he smiles weakly at her. He presses his forehead against her, the gold dripping down his forehead.
“We did good, my love.”
They hit the brunt of the ground, one where monstrous creatures circled them in curiosity as sobs retched from Lilith's throat. She could hear the other six angels arriving yet her focus was only on the love of her life. He was incredibly weak and bare, his wound unmoving to heal like they usually did. She felt a weak hand on her cheek, wiping her tears away. She stops crying and looks at him in shock as he smiles at her. “Why the tears my darling?”
She hugs his neck, screeching sobs into his shoulder as he rubs her back gently and the new Sins come to help the two of them. They explored their new dimension, Lucifer stayed in the background, he lost everything while Lilith thrived. Building her new and preferred home with her voice.
They learned they were all cursed for going against God. Lucifer was cursed with Pride and forced to keep a woman's body instead of his preferred male. Asmodel was cursed with that of Lust and so on and so forth. Lilith was cursed with the inability to conceive a child.
The one thing she ever wanted with her now wedded husband. Lucifer made the rings back in Eden of the sand of the beach, where she could even smell the beautiful waves. So one night, in her nightgown, she decided on a new way to make a child. She sliced her hand open which made Lucifer look at her in concern before she pressed the blood against his stomach.
“Focus all of your energy here okay?”
Lucifer nods and kneads his eyebrows in concentration, the blood was starting to get sunk into his stomach and Lilith's eyes widened in retaliation. He had God's gift, he could create.
“Sweetheart you did it. You created it!”
“I did?!” Lucifer looks down at his stomach and sees a small bump immediately come in. “I did.”
He ran to the stomach to throw up and Lilith only giggled.
The birth of her beloved daughter Charlotte Morningstar, a beautiful thing that looked like the exact image of her father. Red demonic eyes with long blonde hair, Lilith and Lucifer sobbed in joy of her birth and thanked Belphegor profusely for her efforts and Liltih stroked Lucifer's cheek.
“You did it, my love.”
“Yeah after eighteen gruesome hours,” Lucifer jokes weakly. “I am never having another one of these.”
Lilith kisses his cheek and peers down at her new heiress, “She is enough.”
As Charlotte grew, Lilith and Lucifers relationship began to strain. Lucifer was falling in a deeper pit of despair while Lilith craved more power. She wanted the power Lucifer had and now with the recent exterminations, she hated Heaven more than ever.
This time she truly seeked War against them. With the recent deer she made a contract with after saving him from an exorcist, she planned to leave. She had a secret meeting with Adam, a deal to be made to let her into Heaven to stay. She was the one who got her darling husband to agree to the extermination in the first place.
Adam agreed and she had some wayward sinner on a leash to watch her daughter.
Now it was time to leave. She only sighs, kissing her now ex-husband's forehead. She loved him, she still does, but he doesn’t see her vision anymore. Heaven should die and rot in the deepest pits of purgatory. She’ll make sure it’ll come to be for all of the torment they’ve done to her and Lucifer.
She’ll learn to utilize Lucifer's true power and make them pay.
She looks at their family portrait, her smile as she hugs Lucifer and Charlie, a time of pure joy for the family. A tear streams down her cheek as she kisses her ring before slipping it off and placing the sacred item on the dresser.
He’ll understand in time.
Lilith left and wasn’t to be seen for seven years.
