Chapter Text
“Good,” Talia looked up at her father who was staring down at her and Jason, “It worked.”
“Father?” Talia’s hands froze on the towel she was using to dry the pit water from her son, her Jason. Her father had forbidden her from exposing her son to the Lazarus Pits, so why was he smiling?
As her father’s fingers flicked out her hand flew to the dagger at her waist, knowing she was too late as she went to slice open Jason’s throat. So recently out of the pit it might still kill him and spare him from her father’s attention, she knew what happened to those that drew his attention.
She only managed a small scrape as Jason was torn from her arms, “Jason!”
Ra’s walked over to where his men had pulled Jason away from Talia who was still coughing, green water falling from Jason’s lips. “Don’t fret daughter. Once he bites me you will see him again. When he carries my child your pup’s presence will be good for him. He already sees him as pack.”
For the first time Jason’s caught hers, a healed mind behind them, he spoke his first word to her, “Dames.” Jason’s fingers twitched in what she knew to be her Beloved’s code he used only with his robins, ‘Run.’
“Father!” As she spoke, she replied back, the single hand motion looking more like her hands twitching at her side to those who didn’t know the code, ‘Acknowledged’ as her words to her father drew away any attention, “He is but a boy! My son in all but blood!”
Ra’s tilted Jason’s chin up towards him, ignoring the glare and growling from the omega straining at the grip of the two alphas’ holding him. Ra’s grinned realizing Jason would break free of their grip at any moment, “He will be blood soon enough, don’t fret you will see him again.”
Moving his hand to Jason’s neck Jason used the chance to turn to Talia, “Mom, it’s ok-”
Ra’s smiled his hand holding onto Jason’s throat as Jason slumped forward, the nerve pinch having knocked Jason unconscious, “Bring him to my quarters, run a bath. I will be the one to cleanse him from the waters.”
Talia watched helpless as her son was carried from the room as her father stepped closer to her, placing his hand on her shoulder, “He will receive the best of care daughter, there is no reason to fret.”
Talia couldn’t help the emotion in her voice, “He is but a boy! He only just presented.”
“Calm your mother’s heart, I will not touch him in such ways as you fear until after he has both bitten me, and entered his first heat. You have brought me the most glorious omega I have ever seen, I will not risk losing him. Now, don’t you have another son to look after?”
Standing Ra’s’s hand slid from her shoulder. She gave her father a brief nod before walking from the room. As her father was, distracted, by her eldest son, it would be the best time for her to collect her youngest and escape. With Damien outside her father’s reach Jason could focusing on escaping himself and not fear what was happening to the pup he had claimed.
