Summary
In a time long before the people of Hyrule can remember, there came a great flood. For a hundred years, it rained and rained, and the rivers swelled, the oceans rose, covering the kingdom, all but for several islands, to which the people fled. Hyrule came to accept this new way of life, the people living happily and sailing between the islands. For a time, life was good.
But then something dark and long forgotten began to stalk the seas, frightening even the fearsome pirates that roamed the waves. Whispers of a golden treasure were murmured among the legends told. Whispers of a great power, and those destined to wield it.
