“R-Rae?!” Sherbert’s voice broke as they ran into the Banner fam house. Tears mixed with blood as they streamed down their face like the endless heavy rain outside. Their hands were shaking and they walked unsteady. "Rae?Cas-Caspian? Anyone? Pls..make them stop”.
A loud, too loud, way too loud, bark was heard through the house and Sherbert felt warm paws press them to the ground. They couldn’t see what it was through tears, but whatever or whoever it was had decided that they would stay here on the ground and put a much needed pressure on their chest that slowly helped to ground them.
Then they heard a voice. “Atlas, sweetie?” footfalls coming closer. The familiar clack clack clack of heels, even they sounded loud as everything around sherbert screamed at them. It was so loud.
“R-Rae?” They tried again. Their voices sounded quiet and unsteady. Rae’s voice was soft, worried as he spoke, but still so loud. “Hey Sherbert…What's wrong?”
“E-Everything is so loud”
“Oh”
The placing and shifting of a shulker was heard and slowly noise-canceling headphones were placed on Sherbert’s head and after some time they finally calmed down and fell asleep on the couch. Head resting on Rae’s shoulder and Atlas in their lap.
