5 Times Alex Listened To Morgan While Fighting

Summary:

& the one time they told Morgan they heard them.

Basically, Morgan likes to commentate on the fights involving their S-Tier roommate that the media can catch footage of and Alex likes to listen to them talk while they fight. Also, Alex pines, but that's kind of a given.

Notes:

Chapter 1: 1.

Summary:

Alex notices Morgan's commentary for the first time while fighting some heroes.

Chapter Text

Morgan is a very vocal person. Alex knew this, logically. They’ve lived with them for a few months now, of course they knew Morgan was talkative and enthusiastic.

This fact didn’t register until they were in the middle of fighting one of the Fairness Association teams that they made especially to fight the only S-Tier hero in existence. In Alex’s opinion, all of those teams seemed to be a mixture of sacrificial lambs and A-Tier heavy hitters. Fighting these teams was always fun, at least, if not challenging.

They had one of the heavy-hitter A-Tier’s by the neck when they heard Morgan’s voice.

“Hell yeah! Get ‘em Alex!”

It sounded almost like Morgan was right there with them, standing at their side and encouraging them to rid the world of this particular annoying hero. It made Alex grin viciously, squeezing just a little tighter around the hero’s throat. The hero flailed for just a few seconds, eyes wide behind their cracked mask before Alex almost completely dropped their grip. The look of relief on the hero’s face was barely there before Alex crushed their neck so hard they decapitated him.

“Holy fuck Alex, That. Was. Awesome!” Morgan’s voice reached them and Alex couldn’t help the slight flush that warmed their ears.

They rather liked having Morgan’s voice to keep them company while they fought heroes. Not that they weren’t putting effort into fighting the heroes -it’s just that they aren’t very challenging- but Alex found themself bolstered to put on a better show now that they knew Morgan was watching.

“Uh uh uh,” Alex tutted, reaching out with the telekinesis they’d ‘stolen’ from the hero they’d just killed to stop the rest of the hero team from leaving, “Who said you could leave?”

One of the heroes shrieked and another tried to plead for their lives but Alex wasn’t paying much attention to them. Morgan was talking again.

“Menacing line, good delivery, 8/10.”

Alex chuckled under their breath, lifting their hand with a flourish and preparing to snap. The heroes looked on in horror, the one to the far left sobbing.

“Give me one good reason I shouldn’t,” Alex taunted, leaning towards the heroes just a bit.

The one who had just stopped pleading a few seconds ago in their terror started up again and frankly Alex had had enough. They sighed exaggeratedly and snapped once. It almost echoed as every one of the heroes seemingly stopped breathing.

Pleading Guy’s mouth and nose were gone.

“Thank you!” Morgan yelled from the safety and comfort of their apartment, “God, his voice was so annoying.”

Alex laughed. The heroes shrunk into themselves.

Turns out Morgan’s commentary about their battles was quite entertaining.
