Something in the bottom of Liu Qingge's heart (and the entirety of his gut) lurched at the sight of the high and lofty Shen Qingqiu laying unmoving on the floor, breathing shallow. His shixiong barely responds to the sounds of the banquet hall just a wall and doorway away, the very sounds he always complains about. He realizes, probably too late, that that feeling in his abdomen is fear. That clench in his heart is unbidden fear.
[Shen Qingqiu is drugged (basically roofied) and taken back to his bamboo house and cared for by Liu Qingge. Don't read if the idea of noncon drugging squicks you out a lot, nothing else noncon happens besides the drugging.]
