In response, Achilles, as his name would suggest, was fast on his feet and twice as clever, and he refused to let the possible future the Moirai foreseen to subsist. Follow along as the yarn of Achilles is spun. Watch as Patroclus and Achilles go from being boys to being men. Then men to legends. All while they grow from rivals to friends and then lovers.

Chapter Text

My father is described as many things. A powerful Titan who is quick to anger. A harborer of doom and destruction. An exceedingly prideful tyrant. To me, though, he was just Father. I will not lie or downplay the kind of man he is. I know most of these claims were true, to an extent.
In the human form, My father is a Tall man when compared to others, he is muscular, his hair and skin the same color as my own. His eyes are an unnatural orange. It is a warning.

My mother. She is the one that should be feared out of the two of my parents. Kathethea. She is the goddess of Reality. In her human form her hair is the color of pomegranates, eyes the shade of dried blood, her skin pale with pink undertones. None of her features scream mortal. Even in this form. The only features that we share are the shape of our faces. That might sound like a lot and to most it is. But it is enough that people never believe she is my biological mother.

Well, in a sense I suppose they are correct in that statement. She didn't want to carry me for some reason so she took and changed a mortal woman into looking like her. Minus the woman's eyes she for some reason kept them the way they were that's how I got my eye color. Don't worry about the woman who bore me. She was returned to her family with no memory or evidence of her being an incubator. And with memories of visiting her parents kingdom as a replacement for the empty 10 months of memories.

I have no relation with that woman. I don't even know what her name is or where she is from. However, she is the reason I am a Demi-god and not a full deity.

My parents were never wed when I was in the works and they still aren't to this day. I spend every other week with my mother and father. One week I live on an island called Zanthe, a kingdom my father secretly rules over. The next week my Mother takes me to her garden. It is far above the mountains, a place of absolute sanctuary.

From My birth, everyone, my parents, peers, and strangers alike knew of my greatness. I disagreed with the praises they sang.

I remember it as if it was yesterday. I was 7 and our kingdom was invited to the bi-yearly games that a different kingdom hosted each time. It was up to the king, the real king, my father, to decide our two representatives.

He chose me. And a nobleman's son named Clysonymus, I didn't understand why he was chosen. Did they bribe my father? I still am unsure. The conduit, his parents, him, as well as myself, bored a regal ship and we made our way to Aulis.

The conduit and I spoke of which of the two games we will have Clysonymus take on. The both of us agreed that with his lack of any physical skills the easiest game will be the one he participates in. The Race. Clysonymus was a short, frail looking boy and so the two of us agreed that Wrestling wasn't going to be a good idea for him.

I remember landing in Aulis. It would be hard not to, King Agamemnon had all kinds of attractive women and bards welcoming each ship. I knew to keep an eye on King Agamemnon as he is vain and prideful as my mother warned.

We made our way to the Stadium. Once Clysonymus and I entered the preparation room. We were surrounded by other boys from the ages of five to ten. I started to place my items onto the bench and I went to tell Clysonymus about what he will be doing. Before I speak I couldn't help but hear two boys nearest to me speaking.
