Summary:

Agni, a part-time employee at a local coffee shop in the city, and Sebastian Michaelis, a pristine businessman hiding an odd secret, find themselves in a peculiar friendship with one another. Chapter 1: Important note

Chapter Text

I had originally posted the first 7 chapters of this story in 2021 (I think?), and after taking a look back at it a year later (hence why it says first publish in 2023) , I’d figured out why I had stopped.

I’d had this grand idea for this AU and had sorted out pretty much all of the backstory stuff and how our boys ended up in the situation they're in, but there wasn’t really much of an overarching…plot, that I had thought out.

So, with having a boost of motivation, instead of letting the pieces of this story (that I do genuinely really enjoy) sit dormant for the rest of time in uncompleted fanfic hell, I’ve decided to embrace the lack of a strong story presence and let this be a series composed of more episodic vignettes where there’s more or less a different plot for each chapter (much like a TV show), and continue it that way instead of feeling pressured to have a strong, compelling, overarching plot for the entire thing, not that there’ll be zero ;)

Also, I reread it and OH BOY, I was not kidding when I said I have a small spelling disability😅.

And on top of that, I wasn’t happy with  most of the chapters and how I’d written them back then. So I pretty much rewrote the entire thing (with spell check), and I think that was the right decision since I had bitten off a bit more than I could chew at the time when it came to my writing capabilities. But now that I feel I've developed more as a writer, I’m much more confident that I can tell this story in a way that I am happy with.

That being said, while it still holds true, I will be the first to acknowledge that there is a large jump in quality (and word count) once you get past the original 7 chapters.

Anyways, that's the end of my ramble. I hope that you enjoy this revamped version  that I am much more satisfied with! As well as the newer chapters that came after it.
