Summary
Walking into their place, the first thing that greeted him was a strangely oppressive silence. Shigeo liked the house quiet or at least without sudden noises, and Teru enjoyed how peaceful that was too, but this was an odd sort of energy, like the sound had been sucked out of everything.

About half of the way to his house, Shigeo’s grip on his hand became slick with sweat. It was uncomfortably sticky, but Teru ignored it. He supposed it was sunny out, and Shigeo was probably still warm from his arduous club activities. No big deal.
It was only when they got into his apartment that the problem started. The wrench.'Shigeo is supposed to be staying over Teru's that night, and Teru has planned the whole thing out perfectly. But his plans fall apart when Shigeo turns out to be ill. He can deal with it.
