“Captain Vallis,” he introduces himself. “This your courtroom, ma’am?”
“Unfortunately,” she sighs. “We were just about to get started when the alarm started blaring. I think one of the jurors pulled it. One’s of ‘em’s freshly 18, so I assume they wanted out. I’m terribly sorry to pull you guys out here on a false alarm.”
Damen waves his hand in the air next to him in a dismissive motion. “Don’t worry, it happens more often than you’d think. I still gotta check it out though. Protocol.”
He stops in his tracks when his gaze lands on a man who’s tapping his foot and rummaging through a folder he likely grabbed on the way out. Damen can’t see his face from where he is, but he can make out tamed blond hair and fair skin that contrast his dark clothing perfectly.

OR, 5 times Damen tries to take down Laurent’s walls, and 1 time he succeeds.

Jimin let out a humorless laugh, scent souring and eyes burning with fury. "Are you serious? Is that what this is? You’re so pathetic, your ego is so fragile that the only way you can handle losing to me every damn year is by trying to tear me down? An omega you refused in your team keeps beating you, and you can’t stand it!"
Jungkook’s jaw clenched. "Watch your mouth–"
"Or what?" Jimin shoved him hard against the chest, stepping right into his space, not scared even if the alpha in front of him was almost one head taller. "You gonna run your mouth some more? Come on, say it to my face how jealous you are!"
Or, the animosity between Jimin and Jungkook ran from back a long time, but during a rogue attack in which Jimin is forced to intervene, everything changes between the two wolves. For better or for worse.

And he wants to meet Jimin to discuss his case.

Summary
A year or so after Auguste and Damen save their respective law firms from ruin, Laurent and Damen go on a date. Well it takes them a while to get there and this is the story of how they get to that first date. It takes a lot of self reflection and acceptance but Laurent gets there in the end.
