Arthur has been taking odd jobs after the events of the inception, trying to distance himself from the team. It's just a coincidence that Arthur's in London, where Eames is, when these jobs get him into trouble. Arthur is the point man, he's supposed to know these things.
What Arthur wasn't expecting was Eames' mother to be living there as well...
Lots of Hurt/Comfort Arthur/Eames later on. Be warned, slow burn as plot is established pretty slowly.

Gives him time to research the client, the objective (such as they give him), and decide whether he's making his own calls. This time, he does. It seems an easy job. “Leo,” Claude squeezed their hands together. Loving how perfect it feels to have Leo this close to him. “Leo Leo Leo Leo.” He chants his duo’s name like it's the only word he ever knew. Leo chuckles softly and puts his head back to where it belongs. His duo's shoulders. His favorite place to be.
“I guess I’ll wait a bit more.”
Maybe Eito is right. There's something to gain. Once again, Leo allowed himself to hope. This time with a head cleared and a calm heart.

Kaelix and Freo were part of the same assassin organization. They had joined at the same time and once been close partners, but due to changes in assignment orders, they had not been paired together for some time. It was only when Freo suddenly showed up for an unknown reason that they began talking again.
Kaelix wanted to get closer with Freo, at the same time he had also submitted a request to leave the organization. When the organization finally responded, their condition was: he had to kill Freo.
