Will is struck with the feeling he's stepped into a romantic comedy, except he's delusional and lonely in the dark on a deserted Virginia route, and the love interest is a man he's been avoiding for various unsavoury reasons. So perhaps less of the comedy and more of the other thing.

He wants to be used - to be taken whenever, wherever, without having to think or talk about it or be coddled in the aftermath.
