Summary
Alan reached for the page. He needed to collect them all. It was the only way to wrest back control of the story. As his fingers made contact with the paper, he heard an odd sound, like a laugh. Scratch? No. Something else. Alan felt the hairs on the back of his next stand on end.
He quickly picked up the page and turned it around to read it. Alan was confused to see what appeared to be a child's drawing on notebook paper. The drawing was of a hastily scribbled stick man with an oddly long torso and a blank face. Surrounding the figure was just the word “NO” repeating over and over in the same scribbled lines.
Did I draw this? Alan wondered to himself.
