“Hm? What is it now—another one of your troublesome requests?” Nefer jokes half-heartedly, only to turn around and see that Lauma is already towering over her.
“It doesn't have to be.”
“...What do you want now, Lauma?”
Lauma carefully reaches for Nefer’s hands, and internally cheers when she doesn't push her away. “Forgive me for my behavior, Nefer. But I just want to know if you still… feel that way towards me…”
Nefer bitterly laughs at the sudden question, “Oh, you are overwhelmingly bold, Lauma. And what're you going to do if the answer is the least you expected?”
