He felt unable to look away, as if he would disappear forever if Dan dared to ever cast his eyes elsewhere.
His heart wouldn’t stop hammering all the way back to his dorm. He was entirely sure the guy he had just photographed was the most perfect person he had ever seen.

She winced, and Phil stopped. "Sorry," he apologised.
None of this was his fault, was it, but there was a dark feeling of resentment reaching through her. If it wasn't for him, maybe this struggle wouldn't be so complicated. She wouldn't have to weigh him into it, at the very least, she wouldn't have this extra layer to figure into the already manifold dimensions to her shame and guilt.
