Summary
Death comes for everyone, but Bard had not expected it so soon, especially after he and Thranduil have just barely survived the loss of their children. Nevertheless, he's guided to his Heaven, which feels particularly empty without Thranduil with him. Bard is content to wait, but when Thranduil dies before his time and is sent to a place Bard cannot follow, Bard becomes more than determined to rescue him, despite the costs and consequences.
