Wei Wuxian no longer looks the same as he did when Lan Sizhui last saw him. He is not as thin but he is paler and shorter. Mo Xuanyu must have been related to his Baba in some way because it is hard to not mistake his face for Wei Wuxian’s original one. Lan Sizhui would be hard pressed to remember any differing details between them if he had not clung to the bloody memories of his Baba since he left him in that hollow tree trunk for Fuqin to stumble across him.

“What do you need?” Din says. Anything, he thinks. Anything.
“I think he would be more open to the process if you do it as well.” Luke’s eyes, keen and ever-blue, that have the impossible ability to find Din’s own behind his mask every time, meet his own. He looks unsure. It’s not something Din ever thought he’d ascribe to Luke Skywalker. “But the process can be...intense. I understand if you don’t want to do it.”
Din flips it over in his mind for a moment, considering. He’s not exactly sure what Luke is asking of him. But what kind of an example would he be if he asked Grogu to do something he refused to? And, looking at Luke, how could Din refuse him anything?
Not that he could ever say that.
Din nods. “‘Course. Show him there’s nothing to be afraid of.”

Grogu didn’t have many good memories before meeting Buir.
For a long stretch of time, he wasn’t sure how long, Grogu had been locked away in a dark, scary place, surrounded by dark, scary people. He could rarely make out their faces, but he could very clearly sense their overwhelming emotions of anger, irritation, cruelty that made him curl in on himself in an effort to be as unnoticeable as possible. He learned very quickly that being quiet, not voicing his hurts, his hunger and cold and desperate loneliness, was the best way to survive. His mind floated in a limbo of empty aches, surrounded by darkness that he was helpless to escape from. He was too little, too weak, too scared and confused and lost to do anything.
Then, one day, there was light.
It sounds like angst, but I promise it’s not :)
