Or it's just Taeui realizing the way Ilay has been loving him.

A one-shot collection based on canon events/details that I want to elaborate on or explore further
Every time I reread the series, there's always something I wish I could see in more detail or just see more of. Yuji is like strangely good at edging people?? Either way, since most of my works are AUs and therefore iltae usually ends up OOC, this is also just an excuse to finally write them in canon. Or at least attempt to.
I don't mind taking on requests or suggestions, so please comment if you have anything you'd like done!

Why does it have to be you that I'm in love with?
Jeong Taeui couldn't understand. Even after years of absence, why is it so hard to let go of someone you're not supposed to love? Ilay left. He left and never looked back. That's how it was to Taeui and now that he's back, suddenly Ilay just wants to reconnect like old times..?
Before he left, Ilay acted as if him leaving would be nothing but a short vacation. I'll come back to you. He told Taeui. But words are more often than not, shallow.

Family was always a curious thing to Taeui, what with being apart from his brother most of the time, and being subjected to his uncle's sly antics. He had thought, perhaps, since blood ties did not limit the concept, he could establish that foundation in someone else one day.
Taeui didn't exactly think that 'someone else' would be an aloof sociopath and an astute 4-year-old.
OR: Iltae find a kid and adopt him
